Today was a great reminder of what can happen when our community comes together! ❤️

Axis Electric was proud to be part of the diaper drive for DHS in Albany, Oregon, presented by Lennar. We were happy to donate a full pallet of diapers to help support local families in need.

And the community really showed up! 🙌 The last count we heard was over 35,000 diapers donated today!

We’re proud to be part of a community that continues to give, support one another, and step up when there’s a need. A huge thank you to Lennar for organizing this event and to everyone who donated and helped make such an incredible impact!

🏗️⚡ A Building Built for Albany’s Kids

We’re proud to share a project that is especially close to home for Axis Electric — the new Albany Boys & Girls Club Waverly Campus.

What started as a satellite after-school program at Waverly Elementary in August 2024 has grown into a permanent facility designed to provide local children with a safe, affordable place to learn, grow, and build friendships.

The new Waverly Campus officially broke ground in October 2025, marking an exciting milestone for the Albany community.

For Axis Electric, this project has an even more personal connection. Axis Electric owner, Shawn Rubesh, served as the General Contractor for the project, overseeing the construction and bringing the many moving pieces together. Our Axis Electric team also completed all of the electrical work for the new building.

It has been incredibly rewarding to help build a facility that will serve Albany’s youth for years to come. The Boys & Girls Club provides an important resource for local families, with membership kept affordable through the generous support of our community.

We’re proud of the work our team put into this project — and even prouder knowing that what we helped build will make a difference in the lives of local kids. ❤️

The Mid-Willamette Family YMCA is making an important investment in our community with the development of a new affordable housing community dedicated to Veterans.

Located in East Albany near Timber Linn Park on Price Road, the Mid-Willamette YMCA Veterans Home will provide 38 affordable apartments for Veterans who meet the program’s income requirements. The project is designed to provide not only a place to live, but a safe, stable, and affordable home for those who have served our country.

Axis Electric is proud to be part of this meaningful project as a subcontractor for Beaudin Construction. Our team is honored to contribute our electrical expertise to a project that will have a lasting impact on Veterans and the Albany community.

Projects like this are about more than construction. They are about creating opportunities, strengthening our community, and giving back to the people who have given so much to our country.

We are proud to work alongside Beaudin Construction and the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA on this important project and look forward to seeing the Veterans Home become a lasting part of the Albany community.

Sometimes the culprit isn’t a breaker—it’s a tripped GFCI outlet!

GFCIs can protect multiple outlets downstream, so one tripped GFCI in your garage, bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, or outside can cause other outlets to lose power too.

👉 Before calling an electrician, look for outlets with TEST/RESET buttons and try pressing RESET.
