We are excited to welcome George “Tre’” Smith to the MetroPower team!
Tre’s journey with MetroPower began several years ago at a Bainbridge High School career fair. As a student, he approached our team with a clear goal: to build a career in the electrical construction industry. We encouraged his enthusiasm and advised him to stay focused on completing high school first. Tre’ took that advice to heart and remained committed to his goals.
Over the years, we stayed connected, and this May, we were proud to officially welcome him as a MetroPower employee.
What makes this story especially meaningful is the full-circle connection behind it. Tre’s construction teacher, Greg Harrell, also taught MetroPower Senior Operations Manager Keenan Adams when he was a student in 2007. Seeing another Bainbridge High School student pursue a successful path into the skilled trades is a testament to the lasting impact of dedicated educators and strong community partnerships.
MetroPower is grateful for our continued relationship with Bainbridge High School and for the efforts of Marcus Francisco and our Workforce Development Team. Their dedication to connecting with students and demonstrating the opportunities available in the skilled trades is helping build the next generation of craft professionals.
Stories like Tre’s remind us why workforce development is so important. We are proud to invest in local talent and create opportunities for students to build rewarding careers right here in the communities we serve.
Welcome to the team, Tre’! We look forward to seeing all that you accomplish.
