We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the onsite workforce, assisting with a variety of tasks that keep construction projects moving forward efficiently and safely. Your hands-on skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively will contribute to the successful completion of diverse building and renovation projects. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your construction expertise while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Applicant must be able to acquire security clearance to work on military bases.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools.
Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as moving supplies, equipment, and materials around the site.
Support concrete pouring, mixing, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction activities.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to carry out various construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, and masonry work.
Install rebar, metal studs, and perform basic carpentry tasks like trim carpentry and framing according to blueprint specifications.
Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for yourself and team members.
Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate ex*****on of tasks.
Additional duties and tasks may be added in addition to the above responsibilities as needed.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
Proficiency in working on diverse construction projects such as renovations, restorations, or new builds.
Familiarity with concrete forming and rebar installation methods.
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools
Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique.
Knowledge of roofing installation, drywall hanging, caulking, flooring installation, plastering, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, restoration work or related trades is advantageous.
Mandatory drug test
