Our homes are mirrors of ourselves inner world.
In a beautiful world, people would have beautiful homes not because it is a showcase of their status, wealth, or ability to “keep up”. Rather, they are a true reflection of the unique beauty inside the human who dwells there.

What we make room for matters. A chair facing the trees might invite us to sit for a moment. A porch might become the place where we greet our neighbors. A window might remind us to notice the light changing through the day.

This is the ecology of home: the relationship between a place and the people living in it.

When we build, design, or decorate a tiny home, I think about more than how it looks. I think about the life it will welcome—and the person you become while being there.

Take a moment to reflect: What does your home reveal about the life you’re dreaming of creating? Share in the comments below if you’re inspired 💫💫💫

You all want that beautiful 640sq ft cottage.

I don’t blame you! Its a dream. It would transform your life to have it. As a home, or a rental income, or a guest house.

After building 2 ADUs and investing around $300k and putting the first one up on airbnb, here is what I have learned. If you want it as a personal home or guest house - fair enough. No arguments. Get those plans (DM me ADU).

But if you are making a real estate investment to bring in rental income…..keep reading.

That ADU is not the unicorn. That build was a $220k investment (all in). It makes us $3,000 a month on Airbnb.

At around 16% return on investment for real estate thats still kindddd of a unicorn. I’ll give you that. Average real estate investments make 7%.

But our tiny home on wheels cost around $60,000 (ALL IN with tax, delivery, set up, infrastructure, and the furnishings).

And here’s the unicorn - that $60k investment can make me the same $3,000 a month. Honestly, sometimes they make more than that. Average monthly net income - $2,500.

😑😑😑 guys, thats a 50% return on investment. THAT’S A FU***NG UNICORN!!!

Obviously, the numbers for short term rental income vary depending on your location, your property, your ability to manage a rental, your cleaning crews skills, etc. (Which means you could probably make way more than we do because we are really low maintenance hosts.)

But wait, our glamping cabins are a $20k investment and make $1500 a month THATS A 90% ROI? Is that even real??!

After building 200 tiny homes on wheels and personally managing around 40 units over the past 6 years.

I can say with confidence: they are a fu***ng unicorn investment.

If you have agricultural zoned land in rural america with an average home, the ability to pull RV hook up permits for your property, and $60k sitting in a “quote” HIGH YIELD “unquote” savings account (no shade but I genuinely laugh at those 4% returns…) I suggest you get started with a tiny home on wheels rental asap. Because in two years, its paid off. In 6 years you can sell that THOW and build your ADU dream in cash and retire mortgage free.

I just spent two days in a room with hundreds of women making millions, building seven-figure businesses, creating brands, companies, communities, movements.

And one of the thoughts I kept having was:

What are they doing with their money?

Not in a judgmental way. I was genuinely thinking about the amount of power in that room.

Because money is power. Capital is power. Resources are power.

The next day, I saw graffiti on a wall that said:
“Capitalism is the enemy of Mother Earth.”

I used to be someone who believed the same.

But when I saw this I immediately thought, ‘No. Capitalism is not the enemy of Mother Earth. The people who use capitalism to exploit the planet’s resources are the enemy of Mother Earth.’

Capitalism itself is nothing but a system.
A system is nothing but a tool.
And a tool can only be used in accordance with the intelligence behind it.

Yes, capitalism can make it easier to exploit the earth.

Yes, it can make it harder for people who are products of the system to even see another way of living.

Yes, there are glass ceilings. There are structures designed to keep people consuming, producing, chasing, feeling trapped inside the system instead of learning how to use it.

But that still leaves us with the question I could not stop thinking about in that room: What are we doing with the opportunity?

If the people who learn how to create wealth use that wealth to buy land and restore it, protect ecosystems, rebuild soil, create better housing, fund regenerative agriculture, support cleaner technology, create communities that live closer to the earth, and put resources back into the places those resources came from…

then capitalism could become one of the biggest allies we have to protect Mother Earth.

The same system that can be used to extract can also be used to restore.

The same wealth that can be hoarded can be redirected.

The same opportunity can be used very differently depending on who is holding it.

It’s up to use to recognize the opportunity at hand and make conscious and intentional choices to utilize that opportunity in service to humanity.

If you just blame the system and stop there, you are part of the problem.
