Happy farmers-market-eve to all who celebrate! 🥳

Signing on for my midnight market messages ~ there will be some really sweet offerings tomorrow morning!

Produce is coming in strong right now, and there will be plenty of kale (yay!!), chard, collards, carrots, tomatoes, zucchini, candy onions, & garlic 🍅🥬🧅

Tomorrow there will be a crazy cool selection of bouquets, including some cutie little sunflower bouquets 🌻

You can trust that I never use generative AI to create any of my digital content, farm planning, anything I write, etc (I’m sure you can tell by the quality sometimes lol-but that’s the point!!! It’s REAL.)

I believe in going the extra mile to take the photo, take the video, brainstorm and then refine your ideas, learn how to edit, learn how to write & convey your thoughts coherently, continue to practice & sharpen & learn new skills in general. To me, that’s what it’s really all about. I have so much respect for anyone who is out here trying their best, especially when it’s not perfect. It matters that it’s real. And that it’s not supporting technology that is literally poisoning & extracting at an unsustainable rate from our natural environments. F* AI for real. Okay thanks for reading, love y’all!! 🫶

Disclaimer: y’all did sell me out of kale this week! I harvested roughly 22 lb for my chefs & bakers in about a week and a half 🫢 so sadly, there’s no kale tomorrow-but it’ll be back next weekend!! 🥬

It’s time for my weekly just-before-midnight market post!! (Iykyk I guess 😂)

Okay folks, the bouquets are BURSTING with phenomenal blooms this week! Lots of my favs including sunflowers, bells of Ireland, snaps, foxgloves, zinnias, hydrangea, larkspur, & china asters to name a few! Come scoop up a bouquet to brighten up your own space or as a gift. July is bringing some incredible color to my own garden and I just love to share it 🌻🌸💐

I also have lots o’ large candy onions, garlic bulbs & braids, leafy greens, herbs, & a taste of the first tomatoes!! 🍅🥬🧅🧄

It’s gonna be an exciting weekend!! Tomorrow (Saturday) evening is Leaf’s 10 year anniversary party! We have been working hard the past few weeks to get the inside & outside of the shop, & the back patio ready for summer entertaining ~ and it is a WHOLE VIBE 😎🌺

Be sure to stop out for the festivities all day tomorrow, both during normal store hours 10am-6pm AND for our party from 7pm-10pm! There will be music, dancing, food trucks, entertainment, & lots of fun with community 🥳💃🕺

While you’re at Leaf, you can now pick up some of your favorite items from the Kale Next Door, such as dried lavender bunches, garlic bulbs & braids, & candy onions! We are freshly stocked for the weekend 🧄🧅

Happy Friday everyone! There has been a whole lot harvested at the farm over the past 7 days!! 🧄💐😮‍💨

I had some crucial help from Vinnie Cimino , Roman, & Mathew Dunkelberger to harvest the entire garlic crop on Sunday! I’m so so grateful for all of their help! Also so so grateful for Mat’s incredible photography skills. He has been getting back into photography lately and I feel too lucky to be his muse (along with the mandolins, of course.)

I also had some special visitors the other night! Mary Frances Linton , Cami, & Nate Jackson got a little farm tour and helped harvest zucchini ☺️

Tomorrow I have an exciting line up for market! You’ll find:
The first of the giant candy onions 🧄💪
Garlic bulbs & braids 🧄
Kale, collards, & chard 🥬
Carrots 🥕
Fresh herbs including basil, lavender, thyme & sage 🌱
The first sungold cherry tomato pints (super limited quantity!!) 🍅

Warming up for a long morning at the farmers market asking “how’s your morning going so far?” 😉 gotta love the market small talk-and I use this one to break the ice a lot!

Truly, I love getting to meet and talk with everyone who comes through the booth. On the farm I am almost always working alone. It’s so fun to share excitement for a cool flower, a funny shaped carrot, or the delicious aromas of herbs! We can share recipes, ideas, growing tips, stories-it’s the best. 🫜

Hello & happy Friday my friends! 🌞

Tomorrow I am back to my regularly scheduled market programming at the Hudson Farmers Market! 🙌

In fact, this will be a busy few days for me here at the farm-as this coming Monday 6/29 marks the beginning of session 1 of my CSA, AND Monday night I will be vending at the Merriman Valley Pizza Market from 4-9 pm! I’ll be living my best life harvesting & arranging all weekend 🥬💐

I have a sweet variety of offerings for tomorrow’s market, including:

Kale, rainbow Swiss chard, collards, turnips, a very limited supply of carrots (!!!), fresh herbs, the last of the snap peas, bok choy, and a great variety of hand tied bouquets! 🌼
