We had a great day celebrating the groundbreaking of the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Fieldhouse & Community Center!

More space for Tai Lung to explore. Greater views for guests to enjoy.

Our team designed an expanded snow leopard habitat at the Akron Zoo to provide more space for today and greater flexibility for the future. A habitat adjacent to the existing snow leopard yard was enclosed with netting, and new rockwork formations were integrated into the existing rockwork to create climbing and perching opportunities for the zoo’s resident snow leopard.

The new habitat is connected to the existing through a transfer door, allowing animals to move freely between the two spaces. Because snow leopards are naturally solitary, this configuration also provides flexibility to accommodate two animals separately in the future. When needed, the transfer door can be secured to separate the habitats, giving keepers the ability to safely manage each snow leopard independently while maintaining access to dedicated indoor and outdoor spaces.

After an extraordinary career spanning more than four decades, Hasenstab Architects announces the retirement of Robert Medziuch, whose leadership, vision, and dedication have left a lasting impact on our firm, our clients, and the communities we serve.

For the past 41 years, including 39 years with Hasenstab Architects, Bob has been a driving force behind some of the region’s most significant healthcare projects. Throughout his career, he has built and maintained trusted relationships with many of our valued healthcare clients.

Since 1993, Bob has been an Owner and Principal at Hasenstab Architects, helping to guide the firm's growth and success. He also served as Vice President for 13 years, a role he held until 2025, providing steady leadership and oversight of our three office locations in Akron, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh.

Bob has spent more than two decades leading our Healthcare Design Studio, where his expertise, strategic guidance, and commitment to excellence helped shape countless projects that enhanced patient care environments and healthcare operations. As both a designer and project leader, he consistently brought creativity, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of client needs to all of his projects.

Bob’s contributions extend far beyond the projects under his leadership. He has been a trusted mentor, respected colleague, and inspiring leader whose influence will continue to be felt throughout our organization for years to come.

We are thankful for Bob’s remarkable service, dedication, and leadership, and we wish him a well-deserved retirement filled with happiness, new adventures, and continued success.

We excited to announce we've added two new faces to the Hasenstab Architects team - Parker Weis and Kaitlyn Looney!

Parker joins us as a recent Ball State University graduate and will be based in our Akron office, working with our Education and General Practice teams. Kaitlyn comes to us from Kent State University with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Construction Management, and will be focusing on interior architecture and detailing.

Sammy and Taylor return for their third and fourth summers at Hasenstab and will be based in our Akron office, and Morgan will be joining our Pittsburgh Team.

Nothing like a day at the ballpark to bring the team together! Our Cleveland office soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed a Guardians game - safe to say it's been a home run of a day.
