Ground has been broken on a new sitework project at the North Canton Soccer Club. ⚽👷‍♂️

There’s a lot of ground to cover on this one. The project spans approximately 20 acres and includes moving 85,000 cubic yards of dirt to prepare the site for seven soccer fields and two parking lots.

With the equipment fleet onsite and earthwork underway, Cavanaugh crews are getting the site ready for a facility that will serve players, families, and the North Canton community for years to come.

Project Update: Rosemont Preserve in Fairlawn 🌿

Another visible piece of the project is taking shape with the installation of a prefabricated pedestrian bridge.

Cavanaugh installed the bridge abutments in place before setting the prefabricated structure into position. The bridge then received a cast-in-place concrete deck to complete this phase of the work.

It’s another step forward as the improvements throughout Rosemont Preserve continue to come together.

Cavanaugh will be at the Ohio Carpenters’ Joint Apprenticeship & Training Program, Richfield Campus Open House today from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 👷‍♂️

Students, educators, contractors, and community members will have the opportunity to tour the training facility, learn more about apprenticeship programs, and connect directly with instructors, apprentices, and others working in the skilled trades.

Events like this are closely aligned with Cavanaugh’s commitment to helping young people explore construction careers and understand the opportunities available through the trades.

Cavanaugh is proud to sponsor this year’s Summit Metro Parks Fall Family Outing. 🍂

This annual event takes place Saturday, October 3 from 2-7 p.m. at Munroe Falls Metro Park, with a full afternoon of family-friendly fall activities including c***r, apples and popcorn, lumberjack shows, hayrides, bonfires, music, naturalist activities and more.

We’re always glad to be part of events that bring families together and give people another reason to enjoy the parks and communities we’re proud to serve.

Project Update: Head Start Akron 👷‍♂️

Progress continues inside and out across Cavanaugh’s two-building renovation project for Head Start.

On the exterior, siding and stone veneer are complete, along with concrete pavement infills and the new asphalt parking lot. Fencing and landscaping are next.

Inside, painting is complete and crews are now installing suspended ceilings, LVT flooring, and epoxy floors as the spaces continue moving toward their finished form.

Each phase brings these buildings closer to serving children, families, and the Akron community.

Progress continues across the Rosemont Preserve project in Fairlawn. 👷‍♂️

This latest video gives a look at work happening throughout the site, including concrete and trail improvements, storm sewer installation, excavation, grading, and trellis carpentry.

Crews have also been advancing work around the Oxbow Lakes, Bicentennial Creek, Schocalog Run, and the west-side trail system as the project continues to take shape.

There are a lot of moving pieces across Rosemont right now, and each one is helping move this major community project closer to completion.
