Dear algorithm…Please deliver this post directly to the color-loving interiors girls, boys, and beautifully whimsical humans who are looking for playful spaces and with layers of texture to bring their homes to life.

I know there are people out there dreaming of a home that feels more like them, more joyful, more layered, more full of color, charm, and tiny details that make you stop and smile.

And I would very much like to find them.

Because truly, there is no better feeling than matchmaking a piece of art with the person it was meant for. A little design meet-cute, if you will.

So if you love color, ceramics, texture, stripes, piles of books, wonky little details, beautifully crafted cabinets, and rooms that feel like they have stories tucked into every corner…

This might just be the place for you.

No big hook today. No dramatic reveal. No internet wizardry.

Just a little post floating out into the world, entirely dependent on people sharing, saving, liking, and commenting because the art speaks to them.

Let’s see how that goes.

Happy day 🩷

I think a lot about the quiet moments after a design is completed.

🤍 The first slow morning in the kitchen.
🤍 The shoes by the door.
🤍 The favorite mug finding its spot.
🤍 The kids running through the rooms.
🤍 The light hitting the walls in a way you didn’t notice at first.

That’s when a house really starts becoming yours.

Design and renovation are about so much more than making a space beautiful. They’re about creating a home that can hold your everyday life … the busy parts, the peaceful parts, the messy parts, and all the little moments in between.

Because the best spaces don’t just look good when they’re finished.

They feel good long after we leave. 🤎

So if you wander across my feed and find something simple, a room, a detail, a color, a piece of art, a little moment of loveliness … that’s very much intentional.

No trick.
No performance.
No hook.

Just beauty.

And maybe that’s more than enough.

We don’t think the love of layered homes is just another design trend.

As life becomes busier, faster, and more digital, we’re drawn more than ever to spaces that feel warm, grounding, and deeply personal.

Rooms filled with stacks of books, vintage art, woven baskets, natural fabrics, antiques, collected objects, and one-of-a-kind pieces tell a story. They bring depth, texture, and character into a home.

But more than that, they create comfort.

Layered spaces feel softer. More lived-in. More human.

Real homes should feel real. Lived-in. Collected. Made on purpose.

Not everything needs to be new, neutral, and algorithm-approved. Some of the best pieces in a home are the ones with a little history, a little patina, and a little “where did you find that?”

Character you can’t grab in aisle 12.
Materials that age beautifully instead of looking dated in six months.
Rooms that make you feel something the second you walk in.

That’s the aesthetic I’m always chasing in my own home and helping clients build in theirs.

Save this as your permission slip to choose what you’re actually drawn to, not just what keeps showing up on your feed.

What’s one small thing with character you could add to a room this week?

Three things I’d do if I were renovating my home tomorrow:

1. Get honest about the numbers
Not just what I want to spend, but what actually feels comfortable — and where the money will make the biggest impact.

2. Figure out the real priorities
Pretty finishes are fun, obviously, but I’d start with layout, function, storage, lighting, and how the space needs to work for everyday life.

3. Talk to a design-build team early
Before ordering tile, buying cabinets, or knocking down a wall because TikTok made it look easy. A good plan saves time, money, and a whole lot of “wait… why is this happening?” moments.

Renovating doesn’t start with demo.

It starts with clarity.

And if this is you ... Let’s talk through what’s possible. 🤎

Your home carries the energy you bring into it. 🤎
🤍The way we speak to ourselves.
🤍The way we care for the spaces around us.
🤍The way we slow down long enough to notice the little things, the morning light, the favorite chair, the pile of books, the room that feels like a deep breath.
It all matters.
🤍A little more gratitude.
🤍A little more intention.
🤍A little more love for the home we’re already creating, even while it’s still becoming.
Because home isn’t just about how it looks. It’s about how it feels to live there.

I don’t know about you, but big dreams feel a whole lot less overwhelming when you have the right people beside you.

Especially when those dreams involve your home.

Because turning the thing you’ve been picturing in your head into an actual plan can feel like a lot. Layouts, budgets, finishes, cabinets, timelines, decisions… and then about 400 more decisions you didn’t even know existed.

But you don’t have to carry all of that alone.

That’s the part I love most about what we do. We get to walk alongside our clients, help them sort through the ideas, make sense of the options, and turn the dream into something real, functional, and beautiful.

A home that feels more like you.
A space that supports your life.
A plan that finally feels clear.

We’re here to dream with you, plan with you, and help bring it all to life. 🤍

Let’s make what you’ve been dreaming about feel possible.
