August was a month of bittersweet endings for our team as two new school projects came to a close. But as our time with each district comes to an end, we know that exciting new chapters full of possibilities are just beginning for these communities.​

Congratulations to Scioto Valley Local School District on the completion of their new 4-6 Elementary/Middle School! 🎊

This new building is a beautiful reflection of the people at Scioto Valley and in Piketon. We were honored to serve as the CMR partner for this project.

Stay tuned for the results showcasing this 54,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. 📸​

We’ve never been more excited to lose access to part of a job site. Art is officially moving in, and construction crews are moving out. The countdown to completion has begun for the 1899 Building Renovation making history for the Akron Art Museum

Last summer, we set up a timelapse camera to capture the terrazzo flooring process inside the main corridor of Lancaster High School – a floor that is designed to last for 75-100 years.

When you stop to think about that, it puts into perspective the significance of building a new school. Every decision, and every detail is made with generations in mind. That's a lot of "tomorrows."

As this chapter comes to a close for both our team and Lancaster Schools, we're proud of the care and craftsmanship that went into this project - especially in the final months, when the halls grew quieter, the major construction was complete, and every last touch-up helped complete the story of the school.

In 2025, Summit Construction was honored to be selected as the CMR for Fairlawn Lutheran Church and School’s new K-5 Grade School project. The campus located between West Market Street and Smith Road is expanding with a 20,500 square foot addition to create a new K-5 grade school. The church will also undergo a 10,500 square foot renovation.

We are proud to partner with Wheeler Boltz Architects, Inc. and Fairlawn Lutheran Church and School to bring this project to life.
