We are grateful to Lakefront Excavating and Russ & Deb Shreiner for choosing to support Basic Needs as Strategic Impact Sponsors of Barberton Community Foundation’s 2026 Annual Dinner.

Basic Needs is a significant part of the Foundation’s work in Barberton. In our second competitive grant cycle of 2026 alone, the Foundation awarded $123,000 to 10 organizations helping Barberton residents facing food insecurity, behavioral health needs, violence, housing instability, serious illness, and other challenges that can disrupt school, work, and family life.

Those grants support everything from meals and food distributions to mental health care, victim advocacy, housing assistance, transportation, and support for families navigating serious illness.

That is the kind of community impact Lakefront Excavating and Russ & Deb Shreiner are choosing to stand behind. Their sponsorship recognizes that helping families build stability strengthens all of Barberton.

Strategic Impact Sponsorships are still available for $1,000 and may be designated to Early Learning, Career Pathways & Workforce Development, Downtown Revitalization, Basic Needs, or Scholarships.

Each sponsorship includes two Annual Dinner tickets, access to the VIP Reception, and recognition connected to the area of impact you choose.

We are continuing to grow and are looking for a quality individual w equipment operating experience but isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. A CDL would be a huge plus but not a deal breaker. Don Shultz of Shultz Design and Construction and I were invited by our State Representative Jack Daniels and State Representative Justin Pizzulli to come to Columbus to give testimony in support of HB 692 which deals with reforming our Health Code as it pertains to septic systems.

We install many septic’s each year and as anyone who has had it done, you’re aware it can be a quite burdensome task just getting the permits!

It was a unique look into how new laws are made and certainly an honor to be asked to be part of the solution.

Keep us in mind for any of your septic needs, we can bring systems in by barge to get to those impossible access lake lots
