This is what tree roots do to a sewer line.
Roots are one of the top causes of backups we see across Lexington, Aiken, Saluda, and Newberry counties. Foaming root killer coats the TOP of the pipe where roots enter — liquid products just flow past on the bottom. Once or twice a year keeps them from coming back after a line cleaning.
Here's the one we recommend: https://amzn.to/4ctDQRI or visit our website for other products we recommend. https://www.santechsewer.com/recommended-septic-products
Heads up: this is maintenance, not repair. If roots have already collapsed the pipe, or your line is clogged due to roots, you need a camera inspection — we do those too.
