Spelling practice doesn’t have to be boring. We pulled out some Crayola paint brush pens to work on our spelling lesson. Create some novelty to plain old practice can reboot the interest for the task.

•student echoes the word
•un-blend the sounds heard with a color cube for each sound
•touch and name the letter/s that make the sound
•name and write the letters
•read the word
