Our retired president Gordy and retired CFO Everett dropped by this morning with donuts and a chat around the coffee bar. And naturally, we had to join them, because who turns down a donut?!

This past winter, we completed Pine Tree Lodge at David's House Ministries, a new group home designed to expand the organization’s mission of providing dignity, belonging and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This project was especially meaningful because so many members of the Dan Vos team poured their hearts into it. Our in-house architects worked alongside residents and staff to design a home that reflected their unique needs and personalities. Our carpentry shop built custom furniture we designed specifically for residents and their spaces. And throughout construction, our field team built special relationships with the residents and staff — sharing conversations, laughs and everyday moments that left a lasting impact on everyone involved.

We recently caught up with some of the residents to see how they’re settling into their new home. Seeing their decorated rooms, their smiles and hearing their stories reminded us just how special this project was. Pine Tree Lodge is more than a building. It’s a home, a community and a place where people can live with dignity, connection and belonging.

It’s a reminder of what Building for Life means to us: creating spaces that make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people who call them home.

It's one of our favorite times of year—fair season! As proud supporters of Michigan agriculture and 4-H, we're excited to cheer on our Dan Vos families as they participate in county fairs throughout West Michigan.

From market livestock to bunnies, chickens, still exhibits and more, we're always impressed by the hard work and dedication our team and their families bring to the fair. Community is at the heart of what we do, which is why we're also proud to support local youth by making purchases at fairs across the area.

For 75 years, family has come first at Dan Vos Construction Company. Every member of our team becomes part of that family, and over the years, our annual summer picnic has become a tradition that brings generations of employees, retirees, and their families together.

To celebrate our 75th anniversary, we hosted an old-fashioned summer picnic that paid tribute to the early days of the company. From classic games and family activities to our traditional tug-of-war, this year's picnic was a chance to catch up, make new memories, and celebrate the people who have helped shape Dan Vos Construction.
