We recommend these tips be implemented from Friday evening through Monday morning!
- Turn off isolation valves to hose bibs and open hose bibs to allow water to drain out

- Locate main shut off and have clear path with ladder close by. You may need to shut it off in a hurry if you do end up with a burst pipe.

- Open cabinet doors of sinks located near exterior walls

- Place a space heater in your garage if you have plumbing fixtures above the garage. The wind chill is going to push through the garage doors.

- Leave fixtures near exterior walls running at a light stream. Just dripping is to slow and the water can still freeze

- If a fixture stops functioning than your pipe has frozen. Inspect what you can to verify it hasn’t busted and get a heater near them to thaw out.

- Keep thermostat a couple of degrees higher than normal and don’t turn them down over night.

- Also be sure to check other things that may need winterized such as pool houses, well systems, boats, jet skis, pool equipment, etc.
