Health is the new luxury.

The finishes are what you notice first. What you don't see is what you live in every day.

The best homes are engineered around four things your body never stops responding to: the air you breathe, the water you drink, the light you wake to, and the materials that surround you. Get those right, and the house works for you long after the reveal.

Swipe through for five ways a home should be caring for you, not just impressing your guests.

This is what wellness-driven luxury actually means. Designed for you. Built for life.

Save this for when you start planning, and send us a message when you're ready to build it.

Some homes are defined by the view. Others are designed around it.

In the mountains of Highlands, North Carolina, expansive Pella Lifestyle Series windows bring in natural light, frame the surrounding landscape, and create a seamless connection between the home and its setting.

A mountain home designed to make the most of every view.

Low Country Haven is starting to take shape.

With framing underway, we’re officially seeing this home come off the plans and into real life. Over the next few weeks, the rooms, views, and overall flow of the home will begin to reveal themselves.

A big milestone for this build, with plenty more to come.

Some houses you finish. This one leaves something with you.

Project Golden Leaf is complete.
I’ve handed over a lot of homes over the years. You walk the punch list, shake hands, leave the keys behind, and move on to the next project.

Golden Leaf felt different.
The first time I stood inside the house alone with the front door closed, what struck me most was the silence. Built with insulated concrete forms from the footings up, the house feels almost completely removed from the noise outside. No road noise. No wind. No hum. Just stillness and morning light moving across the floor.

That moment reminded me that we are not really in the square footage business.
We are in the business of how someone feels at six in the morning, how they sleep at eleven at night, and whether the place they come home to gives something back to them.

Golden Leaf became our first true lab house.
We studied the things that rarely show up in a listing photo: air quality, water, natural light, temperature, sound, comfort, and the overall experience of living in the home. We tested ideas. We learned what worked, what didn’t, and what needed to change.

What came out of Golden Leaf ultimately changed the way our entire company builds.
And then came something we never expected.

Golden Leaf landed the cover of Atlanta Style & Design and was distributed nationally. Seeing friends, family, clients, and builders we respect send photos holding that issue from different parts of the country was a moment I won’t forget.

The people we build for operate at a very high level. They don’t need a house designed simply to impress them.
They need a home that helps put them back in rhythm. One that removes some of the noise from their week, restores them, and allows them to step back into the world as the best version of themselves.

That is the job.
Golden Leaf was Lab House One.

Project Vitala is Lab House Two, and we’re taking everything we learned even further.
I can’t wait to show you what comes next.
To every person who had a hand in bringing Golden Leaf to life, thank you.

A great afternoon with the Curious Builder Collective.

Today’s conversation centered around Team Management, Hiring & Firing, bringing together builders and industry professionals for an open discussion on leadership, building stronger teams, and navigating the challenges that come with growing a business.

A special thank you to Construction Resources for hosting us at their Atlanta showroom and providing such a great space for the conversation.

Always grateful for the opportunity to learn, share ideas, and connect with others who are helping move our industry forward.

Leadership

A room designed to make an impression.

Inside Project Goldenleaf, the office is wrapped in a rich mauve Benjamin Moore finish, carrying across the walls, trim, and detailed coffered ceiling for a completely color-drenched look.

The semi-gloss finish gives the space added depth as the light moves across the architectural details, while a custom cabinet feature brings another layer of character and helps tie the entire room together.

Bold, refined, and intentionally different.

Great teams don’t happen by accident.

On August 26, we’re hosting the next Curious Builder Collective Atlanta, where we’ll be diving into one of the most important and challenging parts of running a successful business: Team Management, Hiring & Firing.

From finding the right people to building a strong culture, developing your team, and knowing when it’s time to make a difficult change, we’re creating space for honest conversations about what leadership really looks like behind the scenes.

The Curious Builder Collective is about learning from one another, sharing real experiences, and making the building industry stronger through collaboration over competition.

Some homes you finish. Some change the way you build every home after them.

Project Golden Leaf is complete.

Golden Leaf became more than a custom home for us. It became our first “lab house,” a place where we challenged ourselves to think beyond what you can see and focus on what you can actually feel.

The air. The water. The light. The temperature. The sound. The stillness.

Built with ICF construction and a wellness-first approach, Golden Leaf pushed us to study the details that rarely make it into a listing photo, but shape the way a home feels every single day.

We tested. We learned. We adjusted. And ultimately, what we learned here changed the way Bradford builds.

Seeing Golden Leaf land on the cover of Atlanta Style & Design and reach newsstands across the country made this project even more special. But the greatest accomplishment is knowing this home represents where we believe custom homebuilding is headed.

Because we’re not just building square footage. We’re building environments that help people live better, rest better, and feel better in the place they call home.

Golden Leaf was Lab House One.

Vitala is Lab House Two, and we’re taking everything we learned even further.

To every person who helped bring Golden Leaf to life, thank you. This one will stay with us.
