Front street and 2nd street in Richlands to open today Friday 9-18-26. Below is the new traffic pattern.

As we prepared to remove the detour in Richlands, Please note the traffic change. The area in yellow is all that will be completed this phase. The area in blue will be phase 2 which will start next week. Biggest change on phase 1 is that the traffic turning right off Kent Ridge Road will not be able to then turn left (North) on Rockbridge Rd. Thank you for your patience. we will provide an update this later this evening as to when the detour will be removed.

This week Eddie and Elizabeth Ramirez dropped off their son at the Military Entrance processing Station in Charlotte as he begins the journey to become a United States Marine. We are beyond proud of his decision to serve his country and are thankful for all service members current and past. Semper Fi.................

Front St and Second At Update:
Please look for an update on the day the detour may be removed. Our original plan was to open the roadway 9-22-26. We are trying hard to complete all of the work by this Friday 9-18-26.

Please share with your Richlands neighbors related to the temporary detour. Please Note a few points.
The area in Orange will be closed to all traffic.
The blue arrows will follow the existing traffic pattern
The green arrows are the new traffic pattern to get you around the detour.
Rockbridge Road will be open to local traffic only. This is to allow access to businesses on that road.
Kent Ridge road over the railroad will be closed to all traffic.
