Beyond the Blueprint: Meet LeRoy Ask

Chad’s our CEO and Cory’s our COO, but we they won’t mind sharing the spotlight this Boss’s Day.

LeRoy leads our Sioux Falls office as Vice President. He grew up on a farm in Rock County, Minnesota, where hard work and pride in your work came with the territory. What got him into construction? An SDSU professor named Craig Kreyger, whose love for the work told LeRoy he was in the right place.

Happy Boss’s Day, LeRoy!

Megan is spending the day at the Lake Area Tech career fair in Watertown and is impressed. The fair is full of students who already know what they want to build and are well on their way to being good at it.

She also ran into a familiar face. Bailey Gillen (on the right), the 2026 Build Dakota Scholarship recipient, started in the Building Trades program at Lake Area Tech this fall. Good to see him settling in.

Thanks to Lake Area Tech for having us. These students have bright careers ahead, and we hope a few of them start with us.

KELOLAND News visited the CTE Academy to see what’s coming for ag students, and we got to be part of it. We built the new ag addition in Sioux Falls, and it was great to see the administrations' and students’ excitement on TV.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO)– The Career and Technical Education Academy has widened its opportunities on campus for agriculture. One of those includes students being able to interact with live a…

Shovels went in the dirt in Yankton today as the Elwood Family Dental Care team turned out to break ground on their new home at 2612 Fox Run Parkway, just off Broadway. It was a great day to celebrate with a crew this excited about what comes next.

Congratulations to everyone at Elwood. Our team is proud to be building this one with you.

Megan spent Thursday afternoon at the Wayne State College career fair talking with construction management students, and she came back fired up. Bright kids, great faculty, and a room full of future project managers and superintendents.

We brought the good stuff, too. Yes, that's single-serve mac n' cheese.

Thanks for having us, Wayne State!

Foundations are in, backfilled, and the crew was pouring interior slab while the sun was coming up. Good October days are worth using. The new Dakota Dentistry in Aberdeen is moving along!

October is Careers in Construction Month!

Some of our best leaders here started out swinging a hammer. At Huff, a trades job can grow into running a crew, then running a site. You learn the work, you get good at it, and you earn the next step.

Know someone who likes building things? Send them our way.

Happy World Architecture Day!

We get to work alongside some great design teams, and we don't take that for granted. They listen, they solve problems with us, and they make every finished building better for the people who use it.

To all the architects we've worked with over the years, thank you. We're glad to be on the same team.

Happy MFG Day.

Every pre-engineered steel building we put up started on a plant floor, then our crew erects it.

We'll be thinking about both parts of that tomorrow on Manufacturing Day Someone made those components. Someone else stands them up and answers for the finished building. And we are grateful for everyone involved.

If you're thinking about a new shop, livestock building, or machine shed, give Chris a call and let's talk about what your operation needs, or visit https://huffconstructioninc.com/services/steelbuildings/ to get a quote.
