This homeowner wanted the whole house covered when the power goes out, not just a few circuits. In spring, all that was there was the meter on a pole.

We set a Generac standby generator right next to the meter and put a 200 amp automatic transfer switch on the pole. When the power drops, the generator starts and takes over on its own. Nobody has to run cords or flip switches.

Fall is the time to plan a generator, before winter storms. Give us a call.

This cabin's old electrical service was mounted on a wooden post at the meter. We replaced it with a new 100-amp outdoor panel at the meter location, with whole-home surge protection built in.

We ran a new underground feeder up to the cabin, installed a new grounding system, put frost sleeves on the meter riser and panel, and labeled everything. Inside, the red carpet went down first so the floors stayed clean.

When you turn on the heat for the first time this year, you may notice a slight burning smell, no need for alarm. But if the smell is persistent (more than an hour), turn the furnace off and contact an HVAC pro to help diagnose the cause.

A lightning strike damaged a bedroom outlet in this home, and part of that circuit had to be rerun. While we were in there, the old main panel was packed full of wire and ready to retire.

We installed a new 200 amp main panel flush in the bedroom wall, replaced every breaker, added whole-house surge protection, and brought the grounding and bonding up to current code. The old panel is now a clean, labeled junction box.

This furnace was blinking error codes and couldn't keep the house warm. Written on the side of the cabinet: installed in 2010, a new burner box, and a new condensate pan. The heat exchanger was plugged too, and once we pulled it out we found holes in the back.

The homeowner now has a new American Standard 95% furnace, converted to propane, with a new gas line, a new condensate pump, and new 2" PVC venting to the outside.
