"We never use that bedroom — can I just close the vent and quit paying to heat it?"
Gets asked a lot, and it makes total sense. Problem is your furnace has one blower and it moves the same amount of air no matter what you close off. That air doesn't vanish — it gets pushed into the rest of the house and the pressure in the system climbs. Whistling registers, rooms that won't hold temperature, and in a bad case a frozen coil in the summer or a cracked heat exchanger in the winter. That last one isn't a repair, that's a new furnace.

One or two closed vents usually won't hurt anything. It's when people close off half the house that it gets expensive. If you've genuinely got a room you don't want conditioned, there's a right way to do it — give us a call and we'll take a look.

ROAD CLOSURE - STH 13 - August 3, 2026 - End of September 2026

Please help spread the word about this closure. The Little Black River Bridge on STH 13 will be completely closed to traffic, and there will be NO access through the project area. Motorists should plan ahead and follow the posted detour route.
