An Architect is expected to capture the majestic views and block out the eyesores from the rooms of the buildings they design! Relaxation, eating and so on are perfect rooms to provide view windows.
On the flipside, a building can affect performance of students just by letting them see everything happening outside. Blocking out the distractions without suffocating them or making them sit in darkness is a must here.
