Good day, fellow scholars!

Today we will see how the LMS (Learning Management System) works. To see where it housed, you can use any web browser, like: Firefox, MS Edge, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Dolphin – any browser that supports “Flash” will work for you.
So, on the left-hand side of the window there is a User’s menu with a list of names and devices. Here you may raise your hand in case you have some questions or notes. You can also express your feeling with a new material by thumb up or thumb down – indicating the teacher whether you have mastered the new topic.
Below is a we**am window with everybody participating in the class.
In the middle of the window, you can see a presentation block. This is a main part of all the teaching process. A power point presentation can be placed there. Additionally to uploading PP presentations, this part can be used as a black or white chalkboard with numerous edit options such as – font, color, zoom, size, highlights, delete, etc.
On the right-hand window, there is a chat window – for sending messages either to any classmate or to the teacher with no promptly reply requirements.
To sum up, you can view presentation or video, talk to classmates or to a teacher, write on a chalkboard or a blackboard, in another words, enjoy your learning quite the same way as in ordinary class….except you cannot touch someone as he or she may be 10000 miles away from you

Подводя итог, вы можете просматривать презентацию или видео, разговаривать с одноклассниками или учителем, писать на классной доске, другими словами, наслаждаться обучением так же, как и в обычном классе ... кроме того, что вы не можете прикасаться к кому-либо, поскольку он или она может находиться в 10000 милях от вас

Good day!
Today we will talk about guaranteed admission to partner’s colleges and Universities. And the stunning thing is that not only SPI guarantees admission but rather university themselves are interested in guaranteed enroll of international scholars with recognized high school diploma. 3 years ago Dr. Nolt and Dr. Bramucci recognized a chance to earn a high school diploma entirely online. Today’s talk is about application process which is from one side incredibly simple, and from another is should be strictly followed. The actual application is a basic single page and requires a demographic information like name, birthday, address and country from which a scholar is going to be study with SPI. The country is very important because of the time differences. Also, the form would require a phone number, email, a social media accounts. We work hard to find the easiest mode to contact scholar. For a few it is a traditional phone call, but for the most scholars they prefer contact through Skype or WhatsApp message or WeChat message. The email address is important for creation a user profile in Learning Management System. All information from Canvas (LMS) will be sent to scholars on email. Additionally, it is necessary to provide information regarding native language and all other languages the scholar speaks at home. We assume, that a scholar can read the instructions in English. Meanwhile, we do not expect the same thing from parents. We will communicate with them on the language of their preferences in both written and spoken forms. We want the parents to be involved in communication with teachers. To ensure we placed scholars in right courses we request an information about the last school they attended and a highest-grade level they have completed… Final pieces of application will include files we request for applicants: a photo ID, a birth certificate and a school transferred. This is an age limit of 21 years. All this document should be accurately delivered for enrollment

Today is the 4th part of multipart series about colleges and universities. The discussion is about the role of articulation agreements (formal agreements between two or more Colleges and Universities documenting the transfer policies for a specific program and degree). It really creates an incredible educational program between schools of all types. So, you can easily transfer from two years college into 4 years college. The AA has 3 basic prospectives: one is for scholar, the second for sending college and the last one for receiving. There are different types of transfer agreements:
Core-to-core agreement – when a scholar has completed a core education, designed for receiving colleges and universities from e.g. two years school.
Transfer intent or dual admission agreement – ensure admission either to a specific school or a specific program when certain conditions have been met by a scholar such as maintain a minimum grade point average.
Program-to-program agreement, guaranteed admission agreements.
Due to articulation agreement at the age of 14 you may choose a further education with guaranteed admission. All you need is to work hard and earn a high GPA.

Today is the 3d part of multisession series devoted to American colleges and universities and namely community colleges. Scholars often keep saying that they want to attend a one of top 30 Universities. And in contrary they are quite rare mentioning about the community colleges. So let’s talk about pros and cons. The main tangible advantage of CC is certainly the tuition price, which is much lower. Now we can calculate: the entire year of 30 credits and 10 courses at Bucks County Community College would cost as much as merely two courses at Private Liberal Art College. Or another way, the two years study of 60 credits, 20 courses and associate’s degree will cost about 20 kUSD. It is a lot. But, remember! You will have to pay 31 kUSD in a small Private Liberal Art college just to get 15 credits during one semester! That’s a big difference, is not it?
Another benefit concerns professors. As they are not engaged into double duties as researches in the universities and, therefore, can be accessed more by students. Whilst professors often work in private industry as expertise, you can get early job opportunities through this. Along with residential living space growth in Community Colleges, this makes studying there rather attractive

Today is a part 2 of multisession series devoted to American colleges and universities.
Beyond just a name of the school, the following features should be taken into consideration while deciding which university to choose: public, private, 2 year, 4 year, church affiliated, ethnic minorities, single genders (like women’s colleges), liberal arts, technically special etc.
For instance, if you decide to earn an English literature degree, you can study in a big number of universities. From another side, an Airspace engineering degree is obtained in a much fewer places. So, MIT is probably the right place if you are dreaming of Airspace engineering and absolutely senseless in case of foreign literature. Also consider a financial return of investment while you are paying for tuition. If your annual earning is going to be 20 kUSD, does it really make sense to pay 150 kUSD for bachelor degree? And finally the location of University can also be of great importance. As climate is rather different in southern states vs central and northern.

After a week, Dr Bramucci is talking again on the webinar with the topic about “big names Universities”. Everybody in the world whether in the US or from other countries keeps on saying: I am considering only the universities, which I know – like Harvard, Princeton, Yale etc.
The point is you should not concentrate on the highest ranked things e.g. like nike sneakers. You may feel more suitable with adidas, new balance or asics. The same is happening with so-called Brand Universities. First they may not be the best tailored for personally you. Second, their undergraduate enrollment capacity is low and limited. So, please, don’t get focused on top ten Universities and build your success with the others

Good day, dear fellow scholars!
Today Dr Bramucci is going to tell you what typical learning session class will look like. So in the end you will know what is synchronous or real time classes. Entering a virtual classroom a few minutes earlier before start, you will be able to prepare yourself for a learning session – asking questions to a teacher and seeing “introductory activity”. A “Do now activity” is meant to engage a scholar immediately into the learning session. After that, a new learning concept will be presented. It may be done via PP presentation, chartboards, video clips or other ways. No matter how it is, you will learn a new topic individually or within a small group. Be ready to spend a lot of time on writing, because writing is an important part to make sure you understand a learning concept. To the end of the class, the teacher will assess you. And if you have mastered a new concept, an exit ticket will be issued.

Good day!

Today Dr Bramucci is telling about advantages of online learning vs traditional form. In a traditional classes scholars have an option to be passive.
They don't have to actively participate unless they are not called by teacher or they are volonteer and often keep saying "I dont know". In online learning scholars have to stay always active and keen. The biggest advantage of online learning is that all the lessons are recorded and can easily be played back at any time until they are fully mastered. Any scholar needs to be well organized with a high level of time management. The level of self-motivation in a student learning online is much higher than that of his colleague from traditional forms of passive studying
A leaders job is to look into the future and see the world not it currently is, but rather what it can be one day.

Today is a very important and informative webinar devoted to study courses. Dr Bramucci is telling about the basic courses that are typical either in state or private high schools in the US. These are the common courses for education:
1. 4 years of mathimatic courses
2. 4 years of English art language
3. At least 3 years of science and social studies
4. 2 years of physical education and global languages
5. Other ective courses such as Music course and Phisical studies

All of the above mentioned curricular is generally accepted at American universities and colleges. Besides, there can be individual courses such as:

1. English courses also known as communicatinal arts - speech&debate, communication, creative writing, journalism, contemprorary literature and theatre, etc
2. Math courses are a set sequence. So normally you start Algebra 1 at 9-th grade followed by grade 10 Algebra 2 or Geometry or even Statistic and Trigonometry at grade 11. But you may want to start Math study before the 9-th grade with Algebra 1 and 2 and even Geometry. In other words, the sequence might be very flexible.
The same flexibility refers to social studies
Math, English, Social studies and Science courses complete the core classes and together with music (band and orchestra, chamber, jazz, string quartet or quintet) and art (drawing, painting, digital photofraphing, 3 dimensional design and illustrated design) compose an educatinal program
Scholars would also be required phisical studies - with health and nutritional courses. Computer science along with programming&design, S&T preperation are also available as elective courses - a huge number of other study opportunities.
