One powerful thing about this song is the story behind it. Jodie wrote it for her child that was born with cerebral palsy and a rare brain disorder, she wrote it while her life and marriage was falling apart. To me, it’s more than a love song to a child, it’s about choosing love and finding beauty in the suffering that comes with that choice.
