在色彩與材質之間，延續對生活與文化的好奇。 The yaks and sheep, not only are their animal accompany in such high altitude and harsh life, but provide them survival materials in every aspect of life. They weave their own tents fro
m yak wool, felt blankets and rain jackets from sheep wool. Across the green horizon in the summer, or white horizon in the winter, there are only black dots of yaks and their black tents. Some may describe these northern nomads, stubborn and unwitty,
But once you know them, you’ll discover a different view,
They believe in there’s a universal law, that everything runs accordingly,
Do the things that should be done, and done it in the right way. They are used to long hard labor and difficult condition, they can survive and be prospered on such uninhabitable landscape. However life today, even on this remote high-altitude plateau, turns so complicated,
The green field is disintegrating, and the nomadic lifestyle is fading. SHANGDROK wishes to work with these stubborn but harsh-lived nomads,
To regain their sturdy spirit that made them stand in this cold, harsh world, and the tradition to master over the materials that they’ve known and work with for centuries,
And to produce beautiful and worm products that amaze the world, and make them proud again. May the stubborn but unwittily wisdom can lead them stand confidently in this new world.
千年以來，藏區的高原是北方牧人的家鄉，
氂牛與羊不只是他們在高原上艱困生活的同伴 更提供了他們生活中食衣住行的各種需要。
他們用氂牛毛捻線編織成帳篷、用羊毛做成毛氈地毯與雨衣，
無論是夏季綠色或是冬季雪白的山頭，遠遠望去只會看到點點黑犛牛與他們的黑色帳篷。
有人形容，這些北方的牧人，倔強、憨直、笨拙，
但是只要深入了解，你將會有不同的看法。
他們只是相信「付出什麼 就會得到什麼，
一切事物皆依道理而行，
該怎麼做就怎麼做」，
他們慣於身體的勞動 渾然不覺艱難與漫長。
然而今日的高原生活也變得複雜、瞬息萬變而令牧民們困惑，
水草逐漸乾涸，而游牧生活也逐漸消失。
「北方牧人」寄望與這些牧人們，
重拾這為了克服冰天雪地生活，而發展出來的傳統手藝，
製作出令自己驕傲、讓世界感到溫暖與驚艷的產品。
但願這倔強憨直的古老精神，能穩住他們向新時代走去的腳步。
