Today, the APETT Tobago Chapter proudly celebrates the powerful connection between environmental stewardship and engineering innovation.

As we commemorate World Environment Day (June 5) and International Women in Engineering Day (June 23), we recognize the outstanding contributions of women engineers who are helping to build a more sustainable future for Tobago, Trinidad and the world.

Featured today is Eng. Marissa Morris, a Civil and Environmental Engineer whose work reflects the vital role engineers play in sustainable development, environmental protection and community resilience. Through her dedication to responsible infrastructure and project management, she exemplifies how engineering excellence can create lasting positive impacts for generations to come.

Khadia Alfred-Francis, a distinguished Civil & Environmental Engineer whose work continues to contribute to the sustainable management of Tobagoโ€™s water and wastewater infrastructure.

With over fifteen (15) years of experience in Water and Wastewater Engineering, Eng. Alfred-Francis has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to protecting public health, preserving the environment and advancing sustainable development. Her dedication, expertise and leadership serve as an inspiration to aspiring engineers, particularly young women pursuing careers in STEM.
