The Hurricane Season is here!! Are you covered?
If you're questioning the structural integrity of your roof, you should immediately contact us or any REPUTABLE expert, to perform a inspection.
In the interim, here's a short checklist if you want to do your own inspection:
1. Repair all bent flashing, and secure any loose sheet joints observed.
Exposed gaps, especially on the Northern and Eastern (windward) sides of the house are an open invitation to Hurricane force winds.
2. Clean all guttering channels and trim nearby trees. This is NOT the time for your guttering to come loose, because you forgot to remove those dead leaves!
3. Repair all visible leaks as soon as possible. (A small leak may not destroy your roof but can lead to significant unpredictable electrical issues.)
4. Replace all corroded/damaged sheets as soon as possible. If corrosion is addressed early, treating and Re coating your roof with a UV resistant anti corrosive paint, may be a more affordable option.
5. Have your roof inspected by a professional at least once per year (contact information in Bio)
