Waterproofing irregular or curved surfaces such a church domes or other modern structure shapes using traditional waterproofing means, can be very complicated. The proper fitting of membranes around these irregular surfaces entails brutal detailing of joints and overlaps, and the adhesion to the substrate is far from easy, opening up the possibility of human error. The sealing of cracks on such difficult surfaces is a challenge. Also it is very time consuming, while the cost of scaffolding around such structures is unforgiving.
CWS100 - https://www.cwswaterproofing.com/products/cws100/ - liquid CSH concrete protection agent, is spray applied, effectively enveloping smoothly any irregular shape of surface. The application is very easy and incredibly fast, saving labor and scaffolding cost. The sealing of static cracks up to 2.2mm is automatic. Moreover, the fact that CWS100 does not need periodic inspection, maintenance or re-application in future, makes it ideal for structures which are not easily visitable.
The Church of Aghia Sofia (Temple of the Wisdom of God) in Greece, is such an exemplary application of CWS100 waterproofing, effected with minimal staff on site, in a fractiopn of the time that would be needed for any traditional waterproofing method.
