I'm so excited about this you can't imagine! (Or maybe you can! 😂😃)

So... Some months ago I divided and re-potted a Zz plant and just cut off the flimsy looking stems and stuck them in another plant pot to finish die off...

Well last night, those stems basically told me off... and I couldn't be happier!

The first pic has 2 of the stems I stuck in after cutting them off just as I stuck them in... the dry brown one on the right and a tiny little thing on the left... the rest are pics of roots and rhizomes that developed! 😍😍😍😭😭😭💚💚💚

I'm so proud of them! If this isn't a life lesson I don't know what is! 😭💚 Things may look bleak, dried out, dead! Just hang in there! Plant yourself right where you need to be and regardless of how it looks on the surface, something is going on under there! Growth... Life... There's hope 🌱

So... it's been a while... 😬

is no longer a thing for me right now... so I just looked at my little plant section last night and marveled at the resilience of nature (another way of saying they doing good with the neglect🥲)

So... I have a little fern on my office desk (See last pic) and he doesn't seem to like it too much despite the humidifier on my desk 🥲

To add to the humidity in that little area, therefore, enter the philodendron you see. So... excuse for nighttime shenanigans... I pulled an old black plastic pot, wrapped it with a little mat I had there, tied it with some string and... ¡voila! Custom pot! Throw in a plant I got from and we're in business.

Who said work spaces had to be bland? Even if it's a small space 😍😊

P.S. We'll monitor Fern-bro to see how the new addition helps in addition to the existing humidifier.

Life isn't perfect...

When I got this plant from I had no idea about it at all... I placed it in my little area only to be distraught when I went back and saw the end of the leaves 😭 The scorching was terrible!

Fast forward more than a month and me wondering why she doesn't like me 😫.... and here she is 😭💚🥲

She likes me after all 😁💚💚 (and she's started praying 😄😃)

Our plants rest... We should too... There is much I don't get right, in general and as a new plant mom (that reminds me... I have a story story you guys... Draaamaaa!) but resting... especially at the appointed time is something I hold on to... I value rest. Our bodies need it... our minds need it... our souls need it.

My plants help... Being out there, just sitting while they grow in silence is one of my new favorite things to do.

How do you rest? Hmm.

As a new plant mom/gardener, nothing is as encouraging as signs of growth on my little babies 🥲 New, healthy leaves are a sign that I'm doing something right and maybe I'm growing in this journey even as I watch them grow...
