The Log House | Kemer Country, İstanbul, 2026
This project is not the result of a comprehensive interior renovation; rather, it is shaped by an approach that respects the existing log house’s character, scale, and the traces of life it has accumulated over time. Instead of intervening in the structure, redefining it, or transforming it, the design aims to preserve the existing spatial memory as it is, revealing the inherent potential of the space through selective touches limited to the scale of furniture and fixtures. Throughout the design process, all details that are intrinsically tied to the house’s identity are accepted as fixed references.
The proposed interior scheme is based on an organizational approach that enhances everyday comfort and balance without altering the natural flow of the space, its relationship with light, or its material language. Every decision made at the furniture scale is considered as part of a coherent whole—one that does not compete with the existing structure but instead harmonizes with it, reinforcing the character the space already possesses. The resulting approach offers a calm, non-intrusive, and time-resilient living scenario that preserves the spirit of the log house.
