Bose Corporation, Massachusetts Teknoloji Enstitüsü Elektrik Mühendisliği Bölümü profesörlerinden, Dr. Amar G. Bose tarafından 1964 yılında kurulmuştur.
1968 yılında, 901® Direct/Reflecting® hoparlör sistemini piyasaya sunarak kendisini tanıtmıştır. Bu süreç ile beraber, Bose, hayattaki gerçek sesleri yeniden üretebilme konusunda getirdiği yeni standartlar ile dünya çapında kabul görmeye başlamıştır.
