Life isn't always as we plan, and that's why having Plan Bs and staying flexible is key. I never thought I could make two videos a week, but it can be done with the right work ethic and less quality.

“How” is Border? I had an inspiration today in the morning for a possible next video documentary of Arkitolks. From my first grade of architecture, which is the question we get asked; “What is border?”, a lot has changed. Now I comprehend that first I have to understand how, before questioning what.

It seems like an artifical 2D extension that splits the soil into two pieces. Well, how about the rest, nature, air, visuals, underground. How well we maintain the separation as we human-beings. To question the same in architectural terms; Can metro lines connect through the underground? Can we extend cantilever niches by the supports of borderline columns? Would that be breaking the border? What are the types of architectural entities that can be used to create for this particular character or site-specific?

Lastly, questioning seems excited. Why not we visualize and documentarize it? Seems more exciting huh?!

How we live life as a designer, this also depends on how we perceive it. For instance how we perceive “freetime” might depend on the types of time spans we consider as a free-time. Weekends, work-breaks, off-days, work&life balance etc.. 🎭🎼

How about those little “time-gaps” that we spend time on waiting for our hair-cut, bus, nail-job, dentist.. Those two pictures was taken while waiting in some of those places. I call this; little “time-gaps”, where you grab a journal or anything to read to inspire me as a designer. 💡〰️

While people impatiently wait for their turn, I consider this as a free-time to be inspired by journals. And when those journals were already even there! It is always how we perceive it. We can either call this a delay for our appointment or consider it as a free-time to surprisingly get inspired on ideas for your next design! 🧩

Can you imagine how much more free-time you would have considering your whole life? 🌟 ⏰

Since I’m planning my next trip. I had became aware of the fact that it’s been a long time to keep my “traveling habits as a designer” 🌍 💼 ..

While I was scrolling through the influencing information to remind myself and maintain my former attitude, I said why not sharing it!

I hope this post makes you feel less overwhelmed 😃... We as designers should always BE AWARE of the scope, -time to spent on each design, sketch, document.. for any work.. strategically plan our time and energy-consumption and don`t OVERDESIGN with unnecessary effort!

As long as it is on-time and on-purpose, then it`s time to move on to next stage! ✔

VR/AR, Metaverse, Web 3.0, NFT, 3D Printers, BIM...many more like these terms will be a part of our daily life. The design industry brings itself with new sectors and job opportunities. With today`s innovations, connections between nations are only one click away!

Well, as we might believe that it`s these most desperate times for designers as the challenge rises, but who knows we might even be luckier than ever before! The only question left would be if we were going to be ready when we spot the opportunity?
