The Shann

The name "Shann" (山) originates from the Chinese word for "Mountain," representing strength, combined with the Sanskrit tradition symbolizing "Wisdom and Contemplation."
This concept comes to life through a luxury hillside villa development in Cherngtalay, Phuket, thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly into the topography under the concept of Organic Modern Luxury.
The architecture features fluid, curved rooflines inspired by mountain ridges and ocean waves, facilitating natural ventilation while creating uninterrupted visual connections to the surrounding vistas. A signature highlight is the cascading waterfall right outside the master bedroom, creating a soothing sensory experience and a healing, relaxing atmosphere.
The buildings are arranged in a stepped, terraced layout that follows the slope of the hill, ensuring every unit enjoys unobstructed views, natural light, and sea breezes throughout the day.
The space is warmed by natural, tactile materials—including timber louvers, curved wooden ceilings, natural stone, and textured tiles in beige and grey tones—enhancing the interplay of light and shadow with effortless charm.
