Important Update: PebbleTec & PebbleCrete

We want to clarify that Samui Modern Construction is NOT partnered with PebbleTec or PebbleCrete, and we no longer offer or endorse either product.

In the past, we worked on several projects using these materials through their suppliers. However, due to financial and professional issues, including some sort of dispute between the suppliers themselves, we made the decision to step away from offering any pebble-related finishes completely.

Any posts or claims suggesting we are a partner or approved installer are incorrect, and we’ve asked for them to be removed.

We continue to focus on high quality finishes and construction methods that offer the best quality, durability, and peace of mind for our clients.

Here’s a quick look behind the scenes as our crew cuts Travertine stone tiles for one of our luxury pool projects using a wet saw.

Precision is key when working with natural stone, and our team takes the time to ensure every piece is cut clean and true for a perfect finish.

We’ve begun work on another challenging renovation, this time in the hills of Angthong.

The setting is spectacular, and the design vision for this villa is equally impressive, but the structure we inherited was unfinished and far from square. Although structurally sound, almost nothing was line, level, or plumb, so we’ve had to return to the blockwork stage, and in some areas, rebuild walls entirely to ensure a flawless finish.

Big things coming on this one. Stay tuned for updates as we breathe life into this high-potential home.

We’re thrilled to be working again with an existing client on an exciting new renovation at Villa Montana.

The brief: create a private guest suite with ensuite, a gym, an office, plus maid’s quarters and laundry room; all built into the space beneath the existing villa.

This is no simple build-on; the structure has been fully engineered as an independent addition to ensure long-term strength and stability. Adapting to the existing structure has brought its challenges, but the result is something we’re proud of.

With the main structural work complete, we’re now building cavity walls and roughing in electrical and plumbing systems. Check back soon for progress shots and the finished product!

It’s been a tremendous few months here as we’ve wrapped up several major projects and kicked off exciting new ones.

🔧 Spa Update: Walls Up & Roof On at Our Choeng Mon Onsen Project 🌿✨

We’re making excellent progress at our luxury Japanese Onsen Spa build in Choeng Mon! With all blockwork now complete, the structure is really taking shape.

We used double-skin QCON lightweight blocks with a cavity wall system—providing superb thermal, acoustic, and moisture resistance to keep this space comfortable and serene year-round.

The spa is carefully nestled into the existing property, and the tight footprint meant engineering a low-pitch roof at just 3 degrees. For a sleek and watertight solution, we chose the seamless Klip-lok system by Bluescope.

Fitting the flashing around the overhanging pool gutter and the return to the main villa wasn’t easy—but our team delivered a clean, professional finish that respects the original architecture.

More progress coming soon as we bring this tranquil retreat to life. 🌸

🏗️ Pool Deck Progress: Precision in Every Detail 🌟

Following the successful monolithic casting of the pool shell, we’ve now completed the beams and slab for the pool deck. The slab features a smooth power trowel finish—ready for tiling without the need for a sand and cement bed. With built-in falls to drains, it's designed to perform as beautifully as it looks.

We also carefully formed the elegant curved steps, complete with both inner and outer radii. An overhang and recess have been integrated into the formwork to accommodate future LED illumination, adding that extra touch of luxury.

With structure and prep complete, we’re now moving into the tilework stage—stay tuned as this project moves into its finishing phase!
