A behind-the-scenes look at the process behind creating our "Outdoor-inspired Biophilic interior space." In collaboration with Atelier10, we simulated and analyzed the crucial environmental factors needed to help our indoor plants thrive.
Here is how we brought the outdoors, inside:
☀️ Natural Lighting: We mapped out specific LUX requirements for every plant group. They were strategically placed to catch the natural rays from our provided100-square-meter skylight, with full-spectrum LED lighting stepping in right where extra support is needed.
🌫️ Relative Humidity (RH): To keep the courtyard feeling like a true oasis, we maintain the humidity at 50-55% (higher than the rest of the shopping center!). This required a custom air conditioning design, plus carefully selected shrubs and groundcover plants to lock moisture into the soil.
🌬️ Fresh Air: Plants need to breathe, too! We introduced a specialized fresh air and ventilation system to guarantee optimal air and CO2 exchange.
💧 Water Systems: the irrigation and drainage systems ensure water conditions are always perfect, working in total harmony with the sunlight levels and humidity controls.
It takes a lot of science to make nature look this effortless! Let us know what you think of the space in the comments below. 👇
