“ในป่า” เป็นอาคารสำนักงานซึ่งเกิดขึ้นจากแรงบันดาลใจของไม้ยืนต้นที่มีอายุกว่า 30 ปี อยู่กลางกรุงเทพมหานคร เมืองแห่งป่าคอนกรีต โครงการจึงได้เน้นสร้างอาคารสำนักงานให้สอดแทรกอยู่ระหว่างต้นไม้ ซึ่งช่วยส่งเสริมบรรยากาศการทำงานให้เสมือนหนึ่งอยู่ในป่า ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติอันสงบ ร่มรื่น
สถาปนิกโครงการออกแบบอาคารให้หลบอยู่ระหว่างต้นไม้โดยพยายามคำนึงถึงผลกระทบต่อต้นไม้ให้น้อยที่สุด เมื่อเริ่มก่อสร้าง โครงการได้
รับคำแนะนำดูแลจากรุกขกรผู้รักและเข้าใจต้นไม้จึงทำให้โครงการสามารถก่อสร้างอาคารได้โดยแทบไม่ต้องย้ายไม้ใหญ่ออกจากตำแน่งเดิม ซึ่งยากลำบากกว่าการก่อสร้างอาคารก่อน แล้วจึงล้อมไม้มาปลูกภายหลัง แต่ด้วยความยากลำบากนี้เองที่สรรสร้างบรรยากาศป่าให้กับโครงการ
‘Naiipa’ is an office building for rent, geared towards enterprises that are artistic in nature, inspired by the trees surrounding the building, which have stood resolutely for over thirty years in Bangkok, the city of concrete and skyscrapers. We have chosen such a location due to its power to emotionally and mentally transport all who step into its domain to a truly natural environment – a place which we believe is far more conducive to artistic work. They have, since the inception of the project, been under close advisement from professional tree surgeons. As a result, only a minority of the existing trees has been moved in the entirety of the construction project – a job that had been both challenging and rewarding to accomplish. In this way, ‘Naiipa’ is the child of a happy marriage of artists and environmentalists – a child whom we hope will grow in grace and beauty throughout the years to come.
