We’re truly honored that URBAN BED / MINUTE POCKET has been selected as a Mark Winner of the Golden Pin Design Award 2025 in the Spatial Design, Temporary Building category.

Developed with Creative Economy Agency (CEA) and Urban Ally, the project explores shared urban spaces and temporary structures as platforms for collective use and imagination.

Thank you to everyone who brought such vibrant energy. From quiet moments of rest to lively gatherings. We hope this installation offers a glimpse into the potential of urban lands awaiting development, imagining them as open grounds shaped by the needs of their communities.

A place to relax, to recharge, to share conversations, and to be embraced by those around it.

Expensive to be Poor, in collaboration with SP/N, is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Atit Sornsongkram. Taking place in a former SP/N architectural design studio, this distinctive site marks the point of departure for ‘Photograph: a body of images’, an exhibition that explores the possibilities of working with photography through its origins, processes, materials, and site-responsive presentations.

In this exhibition, Atit composes and assembles works to create a spatial field of interwoven visual dimensions, where images are not only seen but experienced through layers of process and material encounter, both visible and integrated. His practice expands the boundaries of photography beyond its representational function, approaching the image as an active object, one that constructs, fabricates, and transforms our perceptions.

Thank you for the opportunity to support on his solo project “/|~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~||/|, 2025” at BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY — and to design the disassembly and assembly of the existing glass window into the fish tank installation.

It’s always a pleasure to be in dialogue with him. And big thanks to BANGKOK CITYCITY GALLERY and all involved for making this come together.

Happy 10th year anniversary to the !

Presence ↝ Traces ↝ Absence
Embedded camera and display, real-time and delayed image, mirror steel surface
297 × 420 mm

Spatial-Temporal is a time-based media installation that layers live and delayed video to explore the instability of presence and the fluidity of space. A small screen embedded in a mirror-finish steel surface on the floor shows three overlapping video streams: the present moment and two traces from the recent past. As viewers move through the space, their image and surroundings are folded into the screen’s reflections, merging past and present into a shifting field of visual echoes.

Drawing on Jacques Derrida’s concepts of différance and trace, the installation destabilizes the notion of fixed presence. Meaning is always deferred and never fully present; presence itself is shaped by absence. Extending this to space, Spatial-Temporal challenges architectural stability by proposing space as fluid and relational rather than static and fixed. The mirrored surface turns the floor into a site of looking, reversing spatial hierarchies and inviting viewers to encounter themselves within a temporal field of displacements.

Rather than presenting a single image, Spatial-Temporal assembles time as texture—flickering, grainy, and soft-edged. Each layer is slightly altered: blurred, desaturated, and overlaid with visual noise, suggesting memory, erosion, and the uncertain edges of perception. The result is a quiet entanglement of time and space—always moving, always shifting, never quite settling into clarity.

A huge thank you to all 5,008 visitors who joined and participated in this experimental passive public space!

Amid lime trees, scattered rocks, wild weeds, birds, chatty cats, grasshoppers, frogs, and a family of snails, Urban Bed / Minute Pocket started as a simple invitation—sit, lean, lie down. It grew into a shared experience, exploring the connection between architecture, human behavior, and place-making.

A special thanks to for your big support in making this happen! And in addition, thank you NBS (Nature-best Survival) .analytics for work that complemented and enhanced the experience, making the venue truly complete.

We’re grateful for every moment that unfolded here, and we hope this BYOA („Bring Your Own Activity“) green pocket inspires more passive public spaces to bloom across the city.
