Every project begins with a conversation. A story of a place, a way of living, a belief in what a space could become. Through shared trust and thoughtful exploration, these beginnings find their way into architecture, carrying something of everyone who helped shape them.

Today, we are proud to see three of these stories recognised at 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, with two Gold Awards and one Silver Award for OPENBOX Architects.

🥇 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 | Haikou Luxeisland Villa

These honours hold meaning because of the people behind them. Our heartfelt thanks to our clients for entrusting us with their visions, and to our team and collaborators for the care and dedication woven into each project.
Thank you to the CREDAWARD jury and organisers for this recognition. We share this joy with everyone who has been part of the journey.

Architecture gives presence to ideas.
It turns values into space, beliefs into material, and identity into something that can be seen, touched, and experienced.

Congratulations to Wolo Mont Kiara KL on this remarkable beginning.

We are grateful to WOLO for entrusting OPENBOX Architects with the opportunity to shape this new expression of hospitality and urban living in Kuala Lumpur.

Inspired by the earth and the layers of history held within the land, WOLO Mont Kiara is conceived as grounded architecture—where flowing forms, layered spaces, and warm natural tones come together to create a distinctive sense of place.

More than a residential tower, it is a new way of living—rooted in its surroundings, yet created for the life of tomorrow.

Congratulations once again to the entire WOLO team, and thank you for allowing us to be part of this meaningful journey.

CLOUDISLAND | Haikou LUXELAND Villa, China
At Luxeland, architecture meets nature, blending aesthetics with seamless indoor-outdoor living. Each home stands distinct yet interconnected, like unique nests in a modern landscape. Inspired by the 'Nest' evolving into the minimalist 'Box,' we used black and white tones to enhance nature’s colors while creating privacy. Every residence feels both secluded and part of the vibrant cluster, where aluminum cladding and thoughtful design create a harmonious, standout community.

OPENBOX Outing | July ’26: Space, Sound & Inspiration ✨

A sincere thank you to Khun Pim Wanprapa and Na Navee The Heritage for opening your doors to our team.

Our river journey brought us to Baan Na Navee—a beautifully restored sanctuary rich in architectural soul. Inside its grand hall, we recharged through an immersive Singing Bowl & Meditation Session, surrounded by sound vibrations, spatial harmony, and wonderful refreshments.

A special shoutout to Khun Lyn for holding space so effortlessly for our entire group. Guiding a team of our size through such a peaceful experience is no small feat, and we truly appreciate your energy!

We return to the studio refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful.

WOLO Mont Kiara has been shortlisted for the 12th CREDAWARD under the Future Project - Commercial Residence category.

The project reimagines the essence of Kuala Lumpur by translating the layered narrative of riverbeds into vertical forms that feel both grounded and light. The façade reinterprets traditional Asian clay tiles into soft sculptural panels that optimize shading, privacy, and daylight movement. Inside, fluid and flexible spaces respond to the tropical climate through passive design and sustainable materials, creating a living narrative where local tradition meets global relevance.
