บ้านประกอบด้วยศาสตร์ของฮวงจุ้ยและเรื่องการถ่ายเทพื้นที่ในการจัดวางพื้นที่ห้องต่างๆ โดยการออกแบบคำนึงถึงเรื่องของความโปร่งของพื้นที่ภายในเพื่อสามารถเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์กับสวนภายนอกบ้านได้ คำนึงถึงเรื่องการป้องกันแสงแดดเพื่อให้ในห้องนั่งเล่นและห้องอื่นๆสามารถระบายอากาศด้วยธรรมชาติ ลดการใช้เครื่องปรับอากาศ มีการจัดโซนส่วนของเจ้าของบ้านและส่วนที่รับแขกสำหรับห้องทำงานแยกจากกันเพื่อความเป็นส่วนตัว

This house incorporates the principles of Feng Shui and spatial arrangement in its layout. The design prioritizes interior openness to seamlessly connect with the exterior garden. Considerations are also made to minimize sunlight and allow natural ventilation in the living room and other rooms, reducing the need for air conditioning. Separate zones are provided for the owner, guests, and a home office, ensuring privacy.

สำหรับเรา วัสดุไม่ใช่แค่ส่วนประกอบของอาคาร แต่มันคือ “ภาษาที่สื่อสารแนวคิดของงานออกแบบ”
ไม้ เหล็ก ปูน หรือหิน — แต่ละวัสดุมีเอกลักษณ์ของตัวเอง ความงามของมันอยู่ที่การเข้าใจ “ธรรมชาติ” และ “ขีดจำกัด” ของสิ่งนั้น
ในทุกโครงการ เราเริ่มจากการมองหาความเหมาะสม ไม่ใช่เพียงในเชิงความสวยงาม แต่ในเชิงการใช้งาน อายุการใช้งาน และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างวัสดุกับฝีมือของช่าง
เพราะงานสถาปัตยกรรมที่ดี ไม่ได้เกิดจากการเลือกของแพงที่สุด แต่เกิดจาก “การเลือกสิ่งที่ถูกต้องที่สุด” สำหรับบริบทของงานนั้น

งานออกแบบนี้ตั้งอยู่บนแนวคิดการสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมที่เติบโตไปพร้อมกับธรรมชาติ ไม่ใช่เพียงสิ่งปลูกสร้าง แต่คือ Sanctuary — พื้นที่พักผ่อนที่เปิดรับภูมิทัศน์รอบข้างอย่างลึกซึ้งและกลมกลืน เส้นทางเข้าสู่พื้นที่เริ่มจากกำแพงเรียบสีเข้มที่ค่อย ๆ นำสายตาไปยังต้นไม้ใหญ่ใจกลางโครงการ ก่อนเปิดมุมมองสู่บ่อน้ำและอาคารที่โอบล้อมอย่างสงบนิ่ง เป็นการออกแบบที่เน้นให้ “สัมผัส” ความงาม มากกว่าการ “มอง” ผังอาคารถูกวางรอบบ่อน้ำเพื่อสร้างความสัมพันธ์ใกล้ชิดระหว่างชีวิตกับธรรมชาติ บ่อน้ำทำหน้าที่มากกว่าฉากหลัง ควบคุมอุณหภูมิ เพิ่มความชุ่มชื้น และสร้างบรรยากาศที่นิ่งสงบ ทางเดินไม้เหนือผืนน้ำจึงเปรียบเสมือนสะพานเชื่อมมนุษย์กับธรรมชาติ วัสดุไม้ หิน และกระจกช่วยให้อาคารหลอมรวมกับภูมิทัศน์ เส้นสายเรียบง่ายและกระจกบานใหญ่เปิดมุมมองให้ธรรมชาติเป็นฉากหลัก ขณะเดียวกัน Courtyard ภายในทำให้แสงและลมธรรมชาติไหลเวียนได้อย่างอิสระ
นี่ไม่ใช่บ้านที่อวดความโอ่อ่า แต่เป็นบ้านที่เผยความงามผ่านความสงบ ความละเมียด และความสมดุลของรายละเอียด — คือสถาปัตยกรรมที่อยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติอย่างแท้จริง

This project is inspired by the idea of creating architecture that grows with nature — not just a structure, but a Sanctuary where the landscape becomes part of everyday life. The journey begins with quiet, dark walls guiding the eyes toward a majestic tree at the heart of the site, then gradually opens to reveal a serene water courtyard embraced by architecture. A design meant to let you feel beauty rather than merely see it. The building layout wraps around the pond, creating a close connection between life and nature. The water feature is more than a backdrop — it regulates temperature, enhances humidity, and brings stillness. A wooden walkway over the water becomes a symbolic bridge between people and nature. Wood, stone, and glass seamlessly blend the building into its surroundings. Clean lines and large glass panels frame the landscape, while interior courtyards allow light and natural ventilation to flow freely.

This is not a house built to impress, but a home that reveals its beauty through stillness, refinement, and balance — a place where architecture and nature truly coexist.

แนวคิดการออกแบบ
ในโปรเจกต์รีโนเวตอาคารเก่าบริเวณประตูท่าแพ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
เราตั้งคำถามตั้งแต่เริ่มต้นว่า
“จะทำอย่างไรให้อาคารสามารถสะท้อนตัวตนของพื้นที่ที่ตั้งอยู่ได้?”

คำตอบเริ่มต้นจากการสังเกตสิ่งรอบตัว
“อิฐ” กลายเป็นวัสดุสำคัญที่เราเลือกใช้ เพราะเป็นภาพจำของกำแพงเมืองเก่าที่ใคร ๆ ก็จดจำได้
เราจึงนำวัสดุที่สะท้อนผิวสัมผัสและสีของอิฐ มาใช้สร้างเอกลักษณ์ให้กับอาคารใหม่

ในขณะเดียวกัน เราก็มองหาความอ่อนโยนบางอย่างที่เชียงใหม่มีอย่างชัดเจน
นั่นคือ “เส้นสายของโคมลอย”
เราถ่ายทอดเส้นโค้งของโคมลอยสู่ช่วงบนของอาคาร
เพื่อให้รู้สึกถึงความล่องลอย ความนุ่มนวล และแสงเรืองรองของเทศกาลที่อยู่ในความทรงจำของผู้คน

โปรเจกต์นี้จึงไม่ได้เป็นเพียงการปรับปรุงอาคารเดิม
แต่เป็นการตีความ “วัฒนธรรมและบริบท” ด้วยภาษาของสถาปัตยกรรม
ภายใต้แนวทางของ dminusplusb

Design Concept – In Architect’s Language
This renovation project is set in the heart of Chiang Mai’s historic Tha Phae Gate area.
Our central question was:
“How can a building express the identity of the place it stands in?”

Our answer began with observing what defines the neighborhood.
Brick — the warm, weathered material of the city’s ancient wall — stood out as a symbol.
So we embraced a brick-inspired texture and palette to ground the project in its local roots.

But Chiang Mai is also known for its gentleness.
We looked to the iconic floating lanterns of the Yi Peng festival —
and translated their soft curves into the upper architecture of the building.
It evokes a feeling of lightness, floatation, and a subtle glow that recalls moments in the night sky.

This project is more than a physical transformation.
It is an architectural dialogue with culture and context —
told through the unique perspective of dminusplusb.
