From the concept of leaving space to the structural arrangement and detailing in every perspective, the complete picture of MAJA. is the result of stripping away the unnecessary to reveal the true essence of the space.

In a holistic view, beauty does not stem from a single focal point, but from the silent collaboration of architecture. The wooden structures, bare concrete, and natural light, which act as crucial materials themselves, all synchronize to create an atmosphere enveloped in tranquility.

"เมื่อปรัชญาและสถาปัตยกรรมหลอมรวมเป็นความรู้สึก"

จากแนวคิดแห่งการเว้นว่าง สู่การจัดวางโครงสร้างและรายละเอียดในทุกมุมมอง ภาพรวมทั้งหมดของ MAJA. คือผลลัพธ์ของการลดทอนสิ่งที่ไม่จำเป็น เพื่อเผยให้เห็นแก่นแท้ของพื้นที่อย่างแท้จริง

The spatial composition of MAJA. is guided by the rhythm of the space. The distances between furniture, pathways, and the voids between each section are all intentionally arranged to allow movement, lines of sight, and functionality to unfold naturally without ever feeling cramped or overly prescribed.

Because “emptiness” does not mean a space devoid of things; rather, it is a space that leaves room for things to happen. Light, shadows, people, and time gradually step in to fill MAJA. in their own unique ways.

การวางองค์ประกอบของ MAJA. ถูกกำหนดขึ้นจากจังหวะของพื้นที่ ทั้งระยะห่างระหว่างเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ทางเดิน และพื้นที่ว่างระหว่างแต่ละส่วน ล้วนถูกจัดวางอย่างตั้งใจ เพื่อให้การเคลื่อนไหว การมองเห็น และการใช้งานเกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ โดยไม่ทำให้พื้นที่รู้สึกแน่นหรือถูกกำหนดจนเกินไป

"Everything needs space to breathe."

MAJA. is a cafe project born from a simple question: Does a good space always need to be completely filled?

We believe that beauty does not come from excessive decoration, but from intentionally leaving space. At MAJA., our core design is deeply rooted in the Japanese philosophy of "Ma" (間).

The character for Ma (間) combines "door" (門) and "sun" (日), symbolizing sunlight filtering through the gaps of a doorway. It is a spatial void that gains its true identity only when time is involved.

Therefore, designing this space was not merely about arranging objects, but intentionally emphasizing "emptiness" to allow the existing elements to truly stand out. The gaps between things create a harmonious balance, soften the chaos, and open up room for activities, mindfulness, and a deeper connection with the surrounding environment.

"เพราะทุกสรรพสิ่ง...ล้วนต้องการพื้นที่ให้หายใจ"

MAJA. คือโปรเจกต์คาเฟ่ที่เกิดจากการตั้งคำถามว่า "สเปซที่ดี จำเป็นต้องถูกเติมเต็มจนแน่นเสมอไปหรือไม่"

เราเชื่อว่าความสวยงามไม่ได้เกิดจากการประดับประดาที่มากเกินไป แต่อยู่ที่การ "เว้นที่ว่าง" อย่างตั้งใจ ที่ MAJA. เราออกแบบโดยมีแกนหลักคือปรัชญาญี่ปุ่นที่เรียกว่า "Ma (間)"

間 (Ma) ประกอบขึ้นจากตัวอักษร 門 (ประตู) และ 日 (พระอาทิตย์) สัญลักษณ์ของช่องแสงที่ลอดผ่านรอยต่อของประตู เป็นพื้นที่ว่างที่มีตัวตนขึ้นมาได้ก็ต่อเมื่อมีเวลาเข้ามาเกี่ยวข้อง

การออกแบบสเปซแห่งนี้จึงไม่ใช่แค่การจัดวางสิ่งของ แต่คือการตั้งใจเน้น "ความว่างเปล่า" เพื่อให้สิ่งที่มีอยู่โดดเด่นขึ้น ช่องว่างระหว่างกันช่วยสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันสมดุล ลดทอนความวุ่นวาย และเปิดพื้นที่ให้เกิดการทำกิจกรรม การรับรู้ รวมถึงการเชื่อมโยงกับสภาพแวดล้อมรอบตัว

Asok Pethouse was designed around the relationship between people, rescued cats, and the spaces they share. From playful moments to everyday functions, every detail comes together to create a place where living, interaction, and community can exist naturally.

บ้านหลังใหม่ที่เกิดขึ้นจากความสัมพันธ์
Asok Pethouse ถูกออกแบบจากความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผู้คน แมวที่ได้รับการช่วยเหลือ และพื้นที่ที่พวกเขาใช้ร่วมกัน ตั้งแต่รายละเอียดเล็ก ๆ ไปจนถึงฟังก์ชันในชีวิตประจำวัน ทุกองค์ประกอบถูกเชื่อมโยงเข้าด้วยกัน เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่ที่การใช้ชีวิต การปฏิสัมพันธ์ และชุมชนสามารถเกิดขึ้นได้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ

From welcoming visitors and encouraging everyday interaction to creating an environment where both people and rescued cats can comfortably coexist, every space is designed to strengthen the connection between architecture, community, and animal welfare.

ทุกฟังก์ชันถูกออกแบบเพื่อสร้างประสบการณ์เดียวกัน

From a dedicated pick-up station and integrated merchandise display to hidden cat care facilities within the built-in elements, every detail is designed to balance efficiency, comfort, and visual harmony.

Beyond dining, the Relax Area and Cat Yoga Studio extend the experience into a space for mindfulness and meaningful connection, creating a place where people and rescued cats can interact naturally.

พื้นที่แห่งนี้ถูกออกแบบให้มากกว่าคาเฟ่ทั่วไป ด้วยการผสานฟังก์ชันการใช้งานและประสบการณ์ของผู้คนเข้าด้วยกันอย่างลงตัว ตั้งแต่จุดรับอาหาร ชั้นวางสินค้าแบบ Built-in ไปจนถึงการซ่อนพื้นที่ดูแลแมวไว้ภายในงานออกแบบ เพื่อรักษาความเรียบร้อยของพื้นที่โดยไม่ลดทอนการใช้งาน

นอกจากพื้นที่รับประทานอาหาร คาเฟ่ยังต่อยอดประสบการณ์ผ่าน Relax Area และ Cat Yoga Studio ที่สร้างพื้นที่สำหรับการพักผ่อน การเชื่อมโยง และช่วงเวลาร่วมกันระหว่างผู้คนกับแมวช่วยเหลืออย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ

Asok Pethouse was redesigned as a shared environment where rescued cats and people can connect through everyday interactions. Inspired by the bond between humans and animals, the space transforms a café into a calming habitat with playful elements, natural materials, and a sense of community.
