Mr. Look Boon Gee was invited to the SUTD Housing Studio Final Review at SUTD in Andrew Lee’s Urban Living Studio on 27th April 2026.

The review was about reimagination of Bishan MRT Depot in Year 2060 with new housing typologies. Mr. Look was impressed by the ideas of from keeping the existing MRT tracks and viaduct, to designing landscapes that flood on purpose to handle stormwater in a climate-changed future. The ideas integrates existing infrastructure with climate-resilient landscape design for a sustainable future.

The projects pushed hard on social sustainability and made you think. Great discussions with the students and fellow jurors, Mr. Brian Low from BRI and Ms. Yap Lay Bee from URA.

Honestly, it was such a refreshing break from the usual practice routine. Singapore’s next gen of architects are asking the right questions.

Mr Look and Ms Ng attended Singapore Polytechnic School of Architecture & the Build Environment (ABE) Graduation Show on 13 March 2026.

The theme for this year graduation show is based on Lumen – Spark the Future which showcases a visionary collection of final-year projects from Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture students, highlighting their creative ideas dealing with present day challenges like climate change, dwindling natural resources, rapid technological & digital transformation.

Mr. Look was honoured to be invited to speak at the Inaugural HDB Architecture & Landscape Design Talk-shop organised by the HDB Chief Architect’s Council on 25 February 2026.

During the session, he shared his design approach and perspectives on Fudao, contributing to a meaningful dialogue on architecture as drivers of social and community development. He also emphasised the importance of sustaining one’s passion for innovation despite challenges, and upholding moral leadership throughout the ex*****on of project.
