The project is gradually coming together, and we are happy to see the pool taking shape after all the hard work put in.

The tiling works are now nearing completion, with the remaining areas being carefully finished and checked. At the same time, our team is working on the underwater light fittings and troubleshooting the existing control panel and wiring.

There are still a few final details to resolve, but we are making steady progress and getting closer to the final testing and commissioning stage. It is always satisfying to see the transformation as the works move towards completion.

Final Cleaning, Touch-Up & Completion Works

Following the completion of the granite tiling and waterproofing works, our team carried out the final cleaning and touch-up works to the surrounding pool deck area.

The completed granite surfaces, joints, access covers and affected areas were checked and cleaned, with minor finishing and touch-up works carried out where necessary. The surrounding work area was also washed down and cleared of construction debris and residue.

Final inspection was conducted after cleaning to ensure the completed works were neat, properly finished and ready for handover.

Final Touch-Up Works

Following the completion of the granite tiling and waterproofing works, our team carried out the necessary final touch-up and finishing works to the affected areas.

This included cleaning and touching up the granite tile surfaces and joints, checking the waterproofed areas, and completing the final sealing/finishing where required to ensure the work is properly completed.

We also carried out the final touch-up painting to the ceiling and affected surrounding areas to provide a neat and uniform finishing.

All areas were subsequently cleaned and checked upon completion of the works.

Upgrading of Existing Timber Manhole Cover to Stainless Steel Frame with Granite Finishing

As part of the upgrading works, the existing timber manhole cover was removed and replaced with a more durable and long-lasting stainless steel framed access cover.

The new manhole cover was carefully fabricated and installed to suit the existing opening, with proper alignment and support to ensure safe access to the underground service area. The surrounding edges were also made good and secured properly to achieve a neat and stable finish.

To blend the access cover seamlessly with the surrounding floor, granite tiles were installed onto the stainless steel cover panels, creating a clean and integrated appearance while maintaining full accessibility for future maintenance works.

This upgrading not only improves the overall appearance of the area but also provides better durability, resistance to moisture, and long-term reliability compared with the previous timber cover.

A practical improvement completed with attention to both functionality and finishing, ensuring that the access point remains discreet, sturdy and easy to maintain.

New Swimming Pool Construction Above Car Porch

Progress is underway for the construction of a newly designed elevated swimming pool built above the car porch area.

At this stage, our team is carrying out the important concealed M&E and pool piping works before the structural slab is completed. The circulation, suction, return and other associated pool pipelines are carefully routed within the designated structure, with proper alignment and coordination around the reinforcement works.

For a pool constructed above a car porch, proper planning is especially important. Once the concrete structure is cast, most of these pipelines will become permanently concealed and access for future rectification will be very limited. Every pipe route, connection and pe*******on therefore has to be properly positioned and secured before proceeding to the next stage.

The photos show our team working closely on site to ensure the pool services are installed neatly and systematically within the limited structural space, while coordinating with the reinforcement and building works.

A beautiful swimming pool starts long before the tiles, lights and water go in. The reliability of the completed pool depends greatly on the workmanship hidden beneath the concrete.

Behind every completed project is a great deal of effort, experience and attention to detail. During our inspection, we found that the existing water feature submersible pump was severely deteriorated and unsuitable for continued reliable operation.

Rather than simply making a temporary repair, our team believes in doing the job properly and providing a solution that will last. We replaced the deteriorated pump with a high-quality stainless-steel Tsurumi submersible pump, selected to provide more reliable and durable performance for the water feature.

At the same time, we replaced the ageing underwater light bulbs with new LED underwater lights, giving the water feature a cleaner, brighter and more modern appearance.

For us, upgrading a water feature is not simply about replacing equipment. It is about understanding the existing problems, selecting the right equipment, carrying out the installation properly, and ensuring the entire system is tested and commissioned to perform as it should.

Quality workmanship may not always be visible from the outside, but it makes all the difference in the years to come.

MV Fan Replacement Works 🌬️⚙️

Another essential upgrading work carried out behind the scenes — replacement of the existing Mechanical Ventilation (MV) fan.

The existing MV fan had deteriorated over time and was replaced with a new unit to restore proper mechanical ventilation and improve air circulation within the area.

Our team carried out the dismantling of the existing fan, installation of the new MV fan, electrical connection and operational testing to ensure the unit is running smoothly and functioning as intended.

Although an MV fan may not be something you see every day, it plays an important role in maintaining proper ventilation, heat dissipation and air movement, particularly within enclosed plant and equipment areas.

Good upgrading works are not only about what is visible — reliable operation starts with taking care of the equipment behind the scenes. 🛠️🌬️

After all the hard work, repairs, curing and preparation, it is so satisfying to finally see the swimming pool fully filled with clear blue water again. 💙

The pool is now ready for its final testing and commissioning, making sure the circulation, filtration and water condition are all running properly and safely.

It has been a journey bringing the pool back to life, and seeing it looking fresh and inviting again makes all the effort worthwhile.

Swimming Pool & Water Feature Repair / Rectification Works

A series of repair, cleaning, replacement and troubleshooting works were carried out to restore the swimming pool, water feature and surrounding outdoor areas.

The works included acid washing to remove calcium deposits and stubborn mineral stains from the outdoor surfaces, helping to improve the overall appearance and cleanliness of the affected areas.

Within the swimming pool, our team carried out grouting repairs and tile patch-up works to rectify deteriorated, loose or damaged areas and improve the pool finish.

The existing underwater light fittings were inspected, with faulty light bulbs replaced and tested to ensure proper operation and illumination.

For the electrical system, our team carried out troubleshooting and inspection of the pool equipment supply, including checking the wiring and connections. The existing isolator was found to require replacement, and a new isolator was installed to restore safe and reliable operation.

The outdoor water tap was also found to be damaged and was replaced with a new unit, followed by testing to ensure proper water flow and no leakage.

In addition, the water feature pump was tested, checked and commissioned to confirm proper operation and water circulation before completion of the works.

Overall works included:

* Acid washing and removal of calcium/mineral deposits
* Pool tile patch-up and repair
* Regrouting of affected areas
* Underwater light bulb replacement and testing
* Electrical troubleshooting
* Isolator replacement
* Wiring and connection checks
* Damaged outdoor water tap replacement

* General rectification and final functional testing

The works were carried out to improve the appearance, safety, reliability and overall operating condition of the swimming pool, water feature and surrounding outdoor areas.
