To celebrate 🎉 Grand Opening on the 7 May 2023, we will be having 30% OFF aroids plants under .sg

🌱It is exhilarating to be back in familiar Punggol, Tebing Lane again.

🪴We are blessed to have plant buddies like Sucan, Kim and Keion from who have generously allowed us to have a space in their plot🌈, to house our plants. The plants are no longer homeless!

☀️So to share our joy and celebration of friendship made through plants, HoP will be having 30% OFF our aroids plants this weekend – 6 to 7 May.

🥳On the 7 May Sunday, will be having some exciting activities in the late afternoon til dark.

Named after its native habitat in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo, Philodendron spiritus sancti is an extremely rare, critically endangered plant.
🪴
Often regarded as the holy grail of Philodendron enthusiasts, record states that there are only about 6 of these large plants left in the Wild, well-guarded in a secret location known only to a few. Deforestation has almost driven this plant to extinction. There are said to be more specimens kept/preserved by private collectors, than available in its native habitat.

To allow more to enjoy the beauty of this rare spiritus sancti and to save the plant from extinction, a few in the horticulture industry has managed to successfully propagate them through plant tissue culture techniques.

🪴Pot size: 12cm

🌿Care Tips:
This is still a slightly less than 1 year old young plant.
As the plant matures, new leaves will start to elongate and may grow up to 63cm in length. Philodendron spiritus sancti is a hemiepiphytic vine, and hence enjoys well-draining medium, or a hanging basket.

⛅️Light Conditions: Indirect bright light.
💧Water: Allow potting medium to dry out between waterings
🪴Potting Media: Well-draining

Could you recognise the Punggol greenhouse back in 2018?

The Punggol greenhouse was previously used to grow edibles like ladyfingers, chillies🌶🫑 etc. After we took it over in 2018, we levelled the soil, and slowly transformed the place into a tropical jungle greenhouse. 🪴

In August 2022, we (HoP together with our friends from will bid goodbye to this tropical jungle greenhouse.

As of today, we still did not manage to find a suitable location to relocate to. So we have decided to take a break from HoP - House of Plants. Perhaps we might be back again end of the year or 2023.

We are Thankful to the wonderful Singapore Plant Community for your friendship 💚and support in the last few years. We hope the Punggol Greenhouse has also brought you as much happiness and nice memories, as it has brought us. ☘️
