Most people ask:

A question I've learned to ask instead is:
"Why is this room getting hot?"

They're similar questions.

But they often lead to very different solutions.

After a decade of working on homes, schools and hotels, one thing has become clear:

We hear this from homeowners all the time in Singapore.

Most of these problems don’t come from bad design.

They come from solving the wrong problem.

People often jump straight to aircons, curtains, or renovations without understanding where the heat is actually coming from.

Before spending more money, it helps to understand the real source of the problem first.

A hot room doesn’t always need a bigger aircon.

Most people assume the solution is to cool harder, lower temperature, bigger unit, higher bills.

But in many homes and offices, the real issue is how heat is entering the space in the first place.

Sunlight, window direction, and building design often matter more than the aircon itself.

That’s why the same room can feel fine in the morning and unbearable by afternoon.

A better diagnosis usually changes the solution completely.

Ten years ago, I said yes to something I did not fully understand.

The early years were full of mistakes and learning on real projects.

Over time, I stopped thinking only about the work itself.

I started focusing on what people actually needed in their spaces.

That slowly changed how people saw us.

They did not just come to us for a solution anymore. They came because they trusted how we approached the problem.

I never really planned for that shift, all I did was keep working hard on the work, one project at a time.

And that is still what this is about every single day here at Pacco.

Helping people make better decisions about the spaces they live and work in!
