As the world of work continues to evolve, one thing becomes increasingly clear: the future belongs to organisations that can balance technological advancement with a deeply human approach to leadership.

At the SHRM Annual Conference & Expo 2026 in Orlando, IHRP was delighted to participate in the "Leadership & Global HR Perspectives" session, where IHRP CEO Aslam Sardar joined Shiv Shivakumar in a thought-provoking discussion on the forces shaping the future of leadership, talent and work. The session was expertly moderated by Achal Khanna, CEO of SHRM APAC & MENA, whose facilitation brought together diverse global perspectives and practical insights.

As AI and emerging technologies reshape workplaces, organisations will need to focus not only on improving productivity, but also on building new capabilities, redesigning jobs and enabling continuous learning. In this environment, HR's role is expanding beyond talent management to become a strategic driver of workforce transformation and organisational readiness.

The discussion also reinforced the importance of hiring for character, attitude and potential, while creating pathways for employees to develop the skills required for a rapidly changing future. Equally important is the role of leaders in fostering trust, earning respect and creating conditions where people can perform at their best.

For HR professionals and people managers, the challenge ahead is not simply to prepare organisations for the future of work, but to ensure that progress is achieved in a way that strengthens both business performance and human outcomes.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the SHRM APAC team for the invitation and for creating a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of leadership, talent and work.

πŸ‘”πŸ’™ Happy Father's Day 2026

Today, we celebrate the fathers, father figures, and caregivers who lead with dedication both at work and at home.

At IHRP, we recognise that strong workplaces are built by people who bring their whole selves to work, including the values of empathy, responsibility, and leadership that many fathers exemplify every day.

To all fathers and father figures in our HR community and beyond, thank you for the support, wisdom, and encouragement you provide. Your influence helps shape stronger families, better workplaces, and a more caring society.

Wishing you a meaningful and joyful Father's Day filled with appreciation and cherished moments with your loved ones.

Happy Father's Day from all of us at IHRP. πŸ’™

πŸ§ πŸ€– When faced with a complex problem, do you know when to rely on AI and when to trust human judgment?

This was the central theme of our recent CPD webinar with Grant Bosnick, where HR professionals and business leaders explored how to harness AI effectively while strengthening the critical thinking skills that remain uniquely human.

Drawing on insights from psychology, neuroscience, and his extensive experience working with over 100 Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 organisations across 45 countries, Grant shared a practical 5-step framework for critical thinking in the age of AI.

Participants learned how to:
βœ… Define problems with greater clarity and precision
βœ… Use AI to expand perspectives and generate possibilities
βœ… Apply human judgment, empathy and context when evaluating options
βœ… Distinguish when AI should support decisions and when people should lead
βœ… Synthesise stronger solutions through effective human-AI collaboration

A key takeaway from the session was that AI is most powerful when it complements, rather than replaces, human thinking. As Grant aptly shared, the role of HR is integral in guiding direction, applying judgment and making decisions, while leveraging AI as a Generator and Evaluator to enhance thinking.

Thank you to Grant for an engaging and insightful session, and to all participants for joining us.

πŸ€” What does it take to future-proof Singapore's workforce in the age of AI?

That question took centre stage at the Clean Enviro Summit on 16 June, where our IHRP Master Professional and Certis CHRO, Dr Jaclyn Lee PhD, IHRP-MP, PBM joined the fireside chat "The Transformation Imperative" as a panellist, sharing her frontline perspective on workforce transformation and job redesign.

The message was clear: HR leaders are not just here to manage change; they must lead transformation in an era shaped by AI and rapid disruption. As automation accelerates, organisations must ensure their workforce moves up the value chain and stay relevant, while preserving the human touch, judgement, and critical thinking that machines cannot replace.

From rethinking roles to redesigning processes, jobs, and tasks, to building capability from within, the conversation pointed to something every organisation in Singapore is grappling with right now: How do you transform meaningfully and where do you start?

πŸ“– Our Job Redesign for Human Resources Playbook was built for exactly this moment β€” to guide organisations in navigating AI-driven change, redesign work at its core, and enable sustainable workforce transformation.

πŸ“Š Are your people strategies delivering the outcomes your organisation needs?

Many organisations invest heavily in attracting talent and building culture. But when it comes to Talent Management, Succession Planning, Employee Value Proposition (EVP), and Rewards, gaps often remain hidden until they begin impacting business performance.

Through IHRP's Human Capital Diagnostic Tool (HCDT), organisations are uncovering valuable insights into where they are excelling and where they need to focus next.

Last year, organisations that leveraged HCDT identified clear patterns in the maturity of their people practices. These insights helped leaders move beyond assumptions and make informed decisions on where to prioritise their HR investments for maximum impact.

πŸ” Discover your organisation's strengths and blind spots
πŸ“ˆ Learn how to translate HR data into meaningful action
🎯 Build a practical roadmap to strengthen your workforce and drive measurable progress

✨ Creating Memories, Strengthening Bonds, Unlocking Joy Together ✨

Last Friday, the IHRP family came together for our biggest-ever Family Day outing at Dopamine Land β€” a fitting celebration as we mark IHRP's 10th Anniversary milestone.

Amidst the colours, lights, laughter and immersive experiences, the day reminded us of something important: taking time outside of work to connect, recharge and celebrate with one another matters too.

Family Day was an opportunity for colleagues, spouses, children and loved ones to come together, build meaningful connections beyond the workplace, and simply enjoy being present in the moment. From shared smiles to playful discoveries, every experience helped unleash a little more dopamine β€” the "happy chemical" that brings joy, positivity and wellbeing into our lives.

As we reflect on a decade of growth and impact, we are grateful for the people who make up the IHRP community. Strong organisations are built on strong relationships, and events like these remind us that our people will always be at the heart of what we do.

A big thank you to our HR team for putting together such a memorable day for all of us. πŸ’™

Here's to many more moments of connection, camaraderie and celebration in the years ahead.
