A little shoutout before September hits!

You don’t need a packed week to make the September holidays a good one.

Just a few good ideas, a little room to wing it, and you‘re good.

Here are 5 things to keep in mind this September holiday, and you might find yourself enjoying every moment of it!

Imagine no social media for kids tomorrow. đŸ“”

What would your child actually do?

They’ll probably pick up another screen to scroll, watch or play on.

Taking away one app doesn’t necessarily change the habit. The appeal is the constant stream of new things happening, with barely any time to get bored.

Your child needs other things in their lives that can hold their attention too. Things that give them a reason to put the phone down without being told to.

It could be a sport, a creative hobby, building something, learning a new skill, or simply finding something they’re really into.

The less we rely on screens to fill every empty moment, the easier it becomes for them to enjoy having nothing on a screen at all.

Comment and let us know what do you think your child would do first?

“Maybe next weekend.”
“We’ll do it during the holidays.”

We say these things all the time.

Not because we don’t want to make time for our kids. Life is just busy, and there’s always something else that needs to be done first.

But if we keep waiting for the “right” time, we might end up waiting a lot longer than we meant to.

And sometimes, it really is just one afternoon. One session. One little yes.

It doesn’t have to become a new hobby or something they stick with forever. They can just have fun, make something, get their hands dirty, or experience something they’ve never done before.

So maybe this weekend, say yes.

Every little Spider-Man dreams of saving the day. đŸ•·ïž

But before they believe they can do big things, they first need the chance to try.

Whether it’s building something from scratch, solving a challenge or creating a masterpiece they’re ridiculously proud of, every new experience helps them discover,
“”Maybe I can do this.””

These little moments may seem small, but they’re where confidence begins.

Give them more opportunities to discover what they’re capable of.

Some boys just aren’t into football fields and outdoor playgrounds.

And even if they are, there are only so many trips to the playground before everyone’s melting in Singapore’s heat.

Sometimes it’s nice to switch things up!

Whether he’s into LEGO, STEM, puzzles or building things, Kloop has plenty of hands-on experiences for him to explore.

If your child is starting Primary 1 soon, it’s only natural to pay more attention to reading, Maths and Chinese. They’re the things parents talk about most, and they’re also the easiest to compare.

But those conversations can sometimes make us forget that learning isn’t limited to books and worksheets.

Many of the skills children use in school are also developed through building, creating, exploring and trying new things.

Reading, Maths and Chinese are all important, but they’re only one part of helping a child feel ready for Primary 1.

So if you’ve found yourself wondering whether your child is doing enough, don’t let one conversation or one milestone become the only measure of how they’re doing.

School subjects without feeling like school!

If you asked most kids if they wanted to spend the afternoon learning Maths and Science, you probably know the answer. 😂

But ask them if they want to build, create and experiment?

That’s what these After School Short Bursts at Arkki Singapore by TPC are all about.

Through hands-on building, testing and making, children explore Maths, Science and even History in a way that feels fun and meaningful.

One session might have them exploring structures and forces. Another dives into geometry and scale. Another looks at how places, buildings and cities are designed.

They’re working with real materials, trying different ideas, making changes and figuring things out for themselves.

Each session gives them a chance to develop problem-solving skills, spatial thinking and resilience.

One weekday afternoon.

One drop-in session.

Good news, parents. You’re invited too. 😉

No waiting outside the classroom.
No scrolling your phone while your child is inside.
No wondering what to do while your child has all the fun.

These are the kind of activities where you get to join in too.

We even found a breakfast spot near each one, so your Sunday morning is pretty much sorted.â˜•đŸ„

So here’s the plan:

✅ Breakfast for the family
✅ A hands-on activity together

Which one would your family try first? Find them all on kloopsg.com

You’re welcome. 😌💛

Art workshops don’t just create little artists. They also turn parents into sentimental collectors.

One day you’re saying, “”We really need to clear this cupboard.””

But the next day, you’re keeping every drawing, every painting, and every “”masterpiece”” because throwing them away somehow feels impossible.

Not because they’re perfect. But because your child made them.

Consider this your official warning before booking that next art session. 😏

Then go ahead and book one anyway. The cupboard can wait.
