Today’s bloom 🍃 plenty have asked me how many varieties of orchids I nurture.

No idea. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
I don’t count them. I just keep bringing them home, finding them a tree and somehow remembering who likes sun, who likes shade and who is being unnecessarily dramatic.

At this stage, it’s less of an orchid collection and more of an orchid adoption centre 🌸😂 special shoutout to orchid lovers Kitchenhangarden Dalila Hashim Rashid Tahir who spoil me loads 😘

One of the joys of having our own kedondong tree is that we can afford to wait 🌿💚 We leave the fruits hanging on the branches much longer, and in return they turn yellow, more fragrant and yes… sweeter than the ones we usually buy from stores.

Of course, “sweet kedondong” is almost an oxymoron 😂 kedondong will always have that signature masam kick! But ours, Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, actually smells and tastes sweeterrrrr to me. Sabar on the tree has its rewards 💚😄

⭐️ Ohhh, the homegrown feeling! 😍 There’s something ridiculously satisfying about seeing fruit ripen on a tree you’ve tended yourself. And these starfruits are absolute beauties… golden, plump Masya Allah 🌿⭐️

I spent 4 years growing the key limes. 🌳
Faza needed less than 24 hours to turn them into pie. 😂💚 I think we both understood the assignment.

Meanwhile me? I just think they taste nicest plucked fresh from the tree 😋🍃🍏
RT refuses to eat them because ‘later got extra passengers attached’ 👻
So more for me lah 😌🌿
