We asked Elodie Noel what separates one luxury hotel from another, and her answer wasn’t about the materials.

She heads design strategy for Accor’s luxury brands, so she’s seen plenty of beautiful rooms. Her point is that beautiful is where you start. After that it’s about local know-how, things that last, and giving someone a reason to remember where they were.

If you’re putting a portfolio together right now, that’s a useful thing to keep in mind. Full chat with Catherine Arnal and Delphine is in our bio.

AI is changing how designers work. We wanted to hear it straight from the people using it. So we got Juniors & Mentors in a room and talked it through.

What helps, what doesn’t, what to watch for.

If this is the kind of studio you want to learn in, our talent pool is open. Link in our bio to apply today

The messy middle. The questions. The revisions. All are normal. That’s what mentorship is for.

Ready to trade the fear of “not ready yet” for a real project and a mentor? That’s what TLDP is for. Applications are open in the link in our bio 🔗

A polished render isn’t a resolved design. One looks good in a feed. The other accounts for circulation, budget, safety, and the people who’ll actually use the space.

At TLDP, we train designers to question and challenge AI’s output. Not just accept it.

We form. We defend. We lead.

“Subtle Eclectic” has won for Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry. Denice Nichole’s scheme builds a full colour and pattern language straight out of the hotel’s own recurring motifs, then carries it across the headboard wall and into the shower area.

The client’s words: “we feel confident that this design will elevate our hotel and help increase guest satisfaction.”

"I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to design something like this," Kurt shared. "It reminded me that design has no limits as long as curiosity and the eagerness to learn continue to fuel creativity."

"Make it feel like the brand" is the usual brief for any hotel design project. That's basically what 3 of our Juniors did for Club Med Marrakech's trapeze and circus area.

Swipe through to see very different answers to the same impossible-sounding ask. Tell us which one nailed the brief best, and stay tuned, only one of these gets built!

Your 3D renders might not be the flex you think they are đź‘€

We sat down with Emily Marzocchi on Design After Class, and she broke down exactly what reviewers are actually looking for in a portfolio. Hint: it’s not your render skills.
