🏡 This 4-Room HDB is finally completed!

No construction talk today.
Just follow my camera and take a one-take tour of the completed home.

🚪 Starting from the entrance,
a simple TV cabinet keeps the space clean and practical.

➡️ Walk further in and you’ll find the living room.
The design focuses on simplicity and functionality,
with lighting added to create a more comfortable atmosphere.

🍽️ Further in is the dining area and island counter —
a space for family meals, conversations,
and everyday moments together.

🍳 In the kitchen, storage was carefully planned
to make cooking, organising and cleaning more convenient.

🚪 Moving into the bedroom area,
the master bedroom and daughter’s room
were both customised around the family’s actual needs.

🎬 And finally, the entertainment room —
a space for movies, singing and simply relaxing together.

✨ At the end of a renovation,
looking good is only part of the story.

What really matters is whether the home
feels comfortable and works well for everyday life.

And just like that,
this 4-Room HDB is officially completed!

How Complex Is It to Convert a Non-F&B Retail Space into a Restaurant in Singapore?

Remember our last update on "Xi Mixian" in Clementi Xi Mixian, Singapore? Hello, I’m Rongrong from Singapore TuBao. Now that the design is finalized, construction has officially begun!

However, this project comes with a unique twist: this unit was never an F&B space before. Transforming a non-F&B venue into a fully functional noodle shop isn't just about surface aesthetics-it requires tackling heavy-duty compliance and infrastructure challenges:

• Gas Planning: Precise planning for gas pipelines and routing is essential for a safe and functional kitchen.
• Ventilation & Airflow: Heavy cooking generates intense fumes, meaning exhaust, supply air, and fresh air systems must be mapped out early.
• Fire Safety (SCDF): Fire safety compliance, evacuation routes, and official documentation must be cleared and submitted to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) beforehand.

The Construction Sequence:
Once these critical infrastructure elements (fire safety, ventilation, gas) are locked in, plumbing and electrical works can proceed based on the kitchen layout—mapping water inlets, drainage, and heavy-duty power points. Only after these core technical milestones are met do we move to the visible finishes like tiles, glass, and signages.
Opening a restaurant in Singapore goes far beyond interior styling. Converting a non-F&B space truly tests early-stage planning and seamless team collaboration.
Construction for Clementi "Xi Mixian" is officially underway! We will keep documenting its transformation into a real dining spot. Stay tuned to Singapore TuBao as we await the final reveal!

🏠 TUBAO Custom Cabinetry | Details Make the Difference

The custom cabinetry for this connected HDB in Ang Mo Kio is finally complete!

When people look at cabinets, they usually notice the colour and design first.
But what really makes the difference is the details and workmanship.

✨ Curved Details
Softens the overall look and adds more depth to the space.

🌿 Open Display Section
Breaks up the full row of cabinets while adding both display and storage space.

💡 Hidden LED Lighting
Turn on the lights and the whole cabinet instantly feels more layered and refined.

📐 Consistent Overall Design
From the entrance cabinet to the dining cabinet and TV console, every size, colour and finishing detail was planned in advance.

🔩 Factory Pre-Processing
Cutting, edge-banding, drilling and labelling are completed at the factory before installation, giving us a more precise finish on site.

🏡 Custom cabinetry isn’t about having more cabinets.
It’s about making every inch of space beautiful, practical and well planned.

🏠 The Ang Mo Kio HDB Renovation Is Now Installing TUBAO Custom Cabinets!

The renovation is moving along quickly, with demolition, electrical works, tiling and ceiling works already underway.

Now, we’ve finally reached the custom cabinetry stage!

Many people think cabinets should only be ordered after all the renovation work is completed.
But for a full custom cabinetry project, planning needs to start much earlier.

This home uses TUBAO Full-Home Customisation, with the design, measurements, final drawings, factory production and shipping to Singapore all planned in advance.

While the renovation was happening on site, the factory was already producing the cabinets.
So once the site was ready, the cabinets could come in for installation directly.

🌿 Why TUBAO?

The cabinets are custom-made according to each space, with ENF-grade boards for wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, shoe cabinets, TV consoles and more.

The factory also handles the cutting, edge-banding and labelling before shipping.
Once they arrive in Singapore, the installation team can follow the labels and assemble everything accurately.

🏡 Good custom cabinetry isn’t just about looking good.

It’s about better storage, accurate measurements and making every inch of space useful.

Beautiful, practical and made for the way you live.

🏡 Renovating My Own Home in Singapore | 6 Designs I Love

Our HDB renovation is finally taking shape, and there are **6 designs that I personally love the most**. Let me share them with you!

**① No Full-Wall TV Cabinet**
Our living room isn’t very big, so I chose a simple TV console instead.
It keeps the space looking lighter and more open.

**② Island Counter + Built-in Induction Hob**
As a Sichuan family, hotpot is a must! 😂
We built the induction hob into the island, so it works as a dining table every day and a hotpot table when friends come over.

**③ Open Display Shelves**
Part of the dining cabinet is left open for the coffee machine, small appliances and decorations.
Practical, but still adds a little personality to the home.

**④ Full-Height Kitchen Cabinets**
More storage and less dust on top of the cabinets.
In an HDB, every bit of space counts!

**⑤ My Own Walk-in Wardrobe** ✨
Curved ceiling, LED lighting and illuminated glass cabinets.
Turn on the lights at night and it feels like my own little display room.

**⑥ Family Media Room** 🎬
Even though this is a 4-room HDB, we still kept one room for a media room.
With soundproofing done from the start, it will be our little space for movies, karaoke and family time.

After more than 10 years in the renovation industry, I've learned one thing:

**There is no one-size-fits-all design for a home.**

The best design is one that makes your everyday life easier and more comfortable — and years later, you can still say,
**“I’m glad I did it this way.”**

🏠 A Singapore Renovation Contractor Renovating His Own Home | TUBAO Custom Cabinets Are Finally Here!

Time for another update on our HDB renovation!

After completing the electrical and basic renovation works, we’ve finally reached the part I’ve been looking forward to the most — our custom cabinets are finally being installed! 🎉

This time, I’m not only the renovation contractor, but also the homeowner.

For my own home, I chose TUBAO boards for our custom cabinetry.

Based on the needs of different spaces, we selected a combination of TUBAO plywood and OSB boards.

From measurement and design in Singapore, to factory production and shipping, followed by installation by our own team — every step is carefully handled.

Once the cabinets arrived, it finally felt like this house was starting to become a real home. 🏡

After more than 10 years in the Singapore renovation industry, I believe that good renovation is not only about materials or price — it's about getting every detail right.

Stay tuned for the final installation!

🏠 How did we choose the tiles for this connected HDB in Ang Mo Kio?

Today, we started the tiling work!

Before that, the homeowner was deciding between wood flooring, glossy tiles, and matt tiles. 🤔

🌳 Wood flooring feels warm and comfortable, but needs more maintenance.

✨ Glossy tiles make the space look brighter and are easy to clean. However, with the trackless lighting design, the reflections can be quite strong.

🌿 In the end, we recommended matt tiles.
The softer reflection works better with the lighting and gives the home a more elegant, timeless look.

For the grout, we also recommended epoxy colour sand for a more natural finish, better durability and easier maintenance.

🏡 There’s no one-size-fits-all choice in renovation.
The best choice is the one that suits your lifestyle.

🏡 The Singapore Condo I Fell in Love With — Renovation Starts Today!

Remember the Tampines condo I shared with you in my previous video?

Today, the renovation officially begins! 🎉

Before work started, we had a simple renovation ceremony together with the homeowner. Once the celebration began, it marked the start of this home’s transformation.

📐 After the ceremony, we went through all the renovation details with the homeowner again and made sure everything was clearly confirmed.

I always believe that renovation isn’t about starting as quickly as possible. The more detailed the planning and communication, the smoother the renovation will be.

🔨 And the first step today wasn’t demolition — it was protecting the existing areas of the home.

Good protection means better workmanship and fewer unnecessary problems during renovation.

Next up: demolition, electrical & plumbing, painting, installation and more…

Let’s see how this 760 sq ft Tampines condo transforms step by step! ✨
