Came across my Governor General of Australia Medal which was awarded to me by the Governor General of Australia for my work in construction. I was lead foreman for a large refurb / extnesion project for Admiralty house which is the official residence of the Governor General built in 1844. Never did i think i would be awarded a medal for my work in construction.

Brought in after a previous tradesman to fix up their poor craftsmanship and quality. The project unfortunately had been left at a very poor standed for the client from the other trade with some work not even completed. Came in and fixed / finished alot of outstanding items to hand them over a great looking project by the end. Very happy client at the end with a great looking extension.

Works covered were
Painting. Caulking, insulation, architraves, doors, bathroom fixtures, structure beams, exterior water flashings and repairs, tile work repaired, sliding draw repairs, access panels, plasterboard works, manual labour, vent work.

Nice new little Swedish deck. The scope of the project was to remove a smaller and aged deck to make room for a new and larger deck. With new foundation works and a clean looking design it's ready for those next summer dinners! Absolutely lovely clients and was a great project overall!

After moving across the world and now being able to call Sweden home, JM Carpentry has had the chance for a face lift. I am delighted to announce my company will be called Blue Bird Construction and Carpentry.

New cut on site roof framing is comming along. It's an interesting build. The entire existing roof framing can't be touched due to the structure of the original build. Working two roofs together to marry up pitch etc is always a good problem solve

New laundry and bath framing to a back extension, lintels to come!

Quick little laundry addition. New tiles to floor and walls, new cupboards and bench top along with plaster work and some minor plumbing. Unfortunately the picture doesn't show the solid jarah bench top which was sourced locally.
