Net billing is a system that allows solar energy system owners to earn credits for the excess electricity they generate and send back to the grid. Here is how it works:
1.Generating Electricity: Solar panels on your roof convert sunlight into electricity, powering your home or business.
2.Excess Electricity: During times when your solar panels produce more electricity than you need, the surplus is sent back to the grid.
3.Earn Credits: Instead of wasting this excess energy, net billing allows you to earn credits for it. These credits can be used to offset the cost of electricity you consume when your solar panels aren't generating enough power, such as at night or on cloudy days.
Example: Let's say your home consumes 1,000 kWh of electricity per month, and your solar panels generate 1,200 kWh. With net billing, you earn credits for the extra 200 kWh you send back to the grid. Then, during months when your solar panels generate less electricity than you need, you can use those credits to offset the cost of the additional electricity you consume from the grid
