Let me ask you a practical question:
What is the biggest problem you face when doing quantity takeoff from 2D drawings?
Is it:
📐 Measuring everything manually?
🔄 Repeating measurements after design changes?
📊 Transferring quantities into Excel / BOQ?
❌ Human errors?
⏱️ Spending too much time on repetitive work?
Or something completely different?
I’m asking because I’ve been working on a solution.
I built a prototype called QS-BIM that explores this workflow:
2D DXF Drawing → 3D Construction Model → Automatic Quantities → BOQ
The goal is not simply to create another BIM tool.
The goal is to reduce repetitive quantity takeoff work and connect the drawing directly with quantities.
👉 You can try the prototype here:

But before I develop it further, I want to learn from people who actually work in construction.
