The interior of this 55-square-meter apartment brings modern lifestyle to life within a calm and harmonious space. The main idea of the project is to create a living environment that goes beyond fulfilling daily functions, seamlessly blending with the resident’s lifestyle, emotional comfort, and sense of personal peace.
In this project, the living room is conceived as the home’s most social yet freest space- a place where everyday life unfolds naturally. There is no single rigid script here: you can read, work, listen to music, host friends, talk, or simply unwind. This very versatility gives the space its true residential character.
One of the main features of the living room is the bookshelf and vinyl rack, which was intentionally designed to be more than just storage. Its open structure allows residents to express their taste and personal history through a constantly evolving collection of books, vinyl records, art objects, photographs, and small items that give the home its individual character. In this sense, the shelf itself becomes a living part of the interior: it continuously changes, fills up, and evolves alongside the residents over time.
The black-and-white striped sofa serves as the primary graphic gesture of the space. Its repeating lines create rhythm and movement, bringing a special vitality to the otherwise calm architectural background. This bold graphic element is contrasted by a burgundy rug, whose deep tone balances the energy with warmth. Despite these contrasts, the interior is not designed to constantly demand attention. Neutral walls, natural wood, soft textiles, and natural light form a serene foundation that allows bolder elements to exist freely.
The kitchen is one of the most distinctive material zones in this interior. Stainless steel is used here in relatively large amounts, yet it does not act merely as a separate decorative element. The metal repeats consistently across various details: ceiling fixtures, wall sconces, the radiator, the range hood, and accessories. Its cold, technical character creates a striking contrast against the background of natural wood, stone, and green color, giving the space a modern, refined, and slightly industrial look.
Green is used here quite actively and intentionally, extending beyond a mere accent to cover the kitchen's ceramic surfaces and flooring. This creates a more cohesive reading of the space and prevents visual clutter from excessive color variation. As a result, despite the active color, the interior remains minimalist and serene.
On the floor, the ceramic tile zone concludes at the entryway with an oval cut-out, transitioning naturally into parquet. Instead of a sharp line, this transition creates a soft, fluid boundary.
The primary color accent in the bedroom is mustard yellow - a warm, vibrant, and sophisticated tone that, unlike standard yellow, forms a richer, transitional hue. Its strength lies precisely in this intermediate character: it carries the energy of yellow, while ochre and earth tones make it a calmer, more timeless choice.
Running along the window, the long desk construction hugs the wall seamlessly and combines multiple functions. Its upper surface serves as a comfortable work area, while internal storage and drawers are designed to keep items organized.
The children’s room was planned from the outset as a neutral and universal space, free from traditional color stereotypes associated with boys and girls. The main goal was to create a room that is free, cheerful, and engaging without being overly thematic. The objective was to craft an environment that can easily adapt as the child grows and reflect their individuality. The color palette echoes the home’s overall tones, but here they are handled with greater delicacy and playful elements.
The ceramic language used in the kitchen continues into the bathroom, though its character shifts here. A different layout and the addition of burgundy inserts create a completely distinct mood - the familiar material is read in a new context, preventing the room from simply echoing the kitchen.
The striped motif appears here as well, this time rendered in ceramics. This detail continues the graphic language repeated across various areas of the house, connecting the bathroom to the overall interior. Furthermore, the burgundy decorative washbasin and toilet lend this composition a bolder and more personal character - they are no longer perceived merely as plumbing fixtures, but rather as formal and color accents of the interior itself.
